VERY important clue was dropped tonight that ties a lot of things together, something that may have been lost in all the excitement, but not if you were paying attention.
Just before Ben burst in and 'Management' betrayed Lodz to him as Ruthie's killer, 'Management' promised Lodz a reward for his great service: obviously, his sight, which is why Lodz's eyes were clear of the cataracts when Ben confronted him. This identified him as Ruthie's murderer, her death ordered not on a whim of the professor's, but by Management. Maybe Ben will figure that out, or maybe not.
But here's the kicker: as Lodz was turning to leave 'Management's' wagon, he said something to the effect of 'It is an honor to serve you, my Prince.' My Prince. The old country, where something terrible happened. Justin and Iris as children, fleeing unknown assailants. We have been assuming that the children were Russian. But what if they were Romanian?
Put these variables together, and what's that spell? Couldn't 'my Prince' be a reference to Prince Vlad the Impaler, the real life figure that Bram Stoker re-imagined as Dracula?
Yeah, I thought that maybe I'd been smoking something without knowing it, too...but then I did a web search about Prince Vlad and the Knights Templar. And what do ya know...there IS a theory that there may have been a historical connection between them.
