Ladies, I hope this is not too personal of a question, but are you guys paying mostly cash or credit card for wedding and wedding related stuff?? FH and I have said that we'd pay cash for everything except honeymoon, but the way things are looking, I don't know if that's possibe?

Everything we have paid for/will pay for comes right out of my checking account...Checking account is linked to the online savings so all I do is transfer the money when I need it. I have only used my CC when I purchase things online for the wedding (cardbox, matches, shoes, bm gifts etc) just for the simple fact that if there is a problem with the charges being withdrawn/overcharged, the 'issues' wont be affecting my checking account...

I have a credit card that pays cash back so I get 1% of everything I spend, so I am looking to put everything I can on credit card, however I pay the balance in full every month.

but we do usually put the first small deposit on credit.. we're saving up for the rest of the payments to pay cash

We're paying for anything big in cash or by check to our account set up just for the wedding.
However, anything that we can afford to pay for without going into the wedding account, we're paying for with credit or cash outside of the wedding account.

Cash/checks. We opened up a savings account and will be using any money we get from our engagement party. I am going to charge my gown and acessories though.

We're paying for as much as we can in cash and then using the CC as a back up. We figure if we run up any kind of bill we can use money from the wedding to pay it off later.

We've paid mostly everything by check. We made a couple deposits by credit, but mostly everything is check. However, we're paying cash for our photographer b/c he's giving me a break and not charging tax if we pay cash

American Express is a godsend Bascially, we are charging everything to AmEx, then bill is paid in full the next month. We have a rewards plus card - so are getting tons of points for doing it that way
so are we. hopefully we will used points towards the honeymoon

We paid for almost everything in cash and I am so happy we did. Anything we put on a credit card was because we had to (HM flight and hotel) or because we were paying over the phone (photog for some reason, we always did credit card because it was most convenient) or in a regular store (my dress and veil). But I only put it on my card knowing I had the cash to pay it off immediately. It is a nice feeling knowing during your wedding that everything has been paid for. Also, then any cash gifts you get don't have to go towards debt, you can use your gifts and invest and/or use it to do things around the house. We used some of our wedding money to get a new computer and frame some artwork that had been lying around. The rest is currently earning interest and we decided to use it for major household expenses, like getting new furniture etc.

I've paid cash for most things b/c most vendors wont take AMEX. When possible, I use AMEX and pay the bill right away, just to earn the points.
