Cell Phone Help

Original post by Nora101004

I have sprint pcs but I'm looking to change. I want a cheap plan- $20-$30/month. I only use my phone for emergencies and quick 'I'm stopping here do you need anything' calls.

The two plans I found are Sprint and T-Mobile. T-Mobile has more mins but not sure how the service is on long island/north shore of suffolk county specifically.

ETA: My phone now gets very bad reception. I know I need a new phone. I am more interested in cell phone reception service then customer service.

Adding another choice to the mix: Cingular

I voted for T Mobile and I am happy except for recently in my house the signal got horrible. There has been alot of lightning lately, maybe something happened to the tower near me.

I am extremely happy with Sprint. I have gotten so many freebies from them.

If you have Sprint (had them for at least a year) and want a new phone... call up their CSR and tell them you are thinking about switching carriers. Tell them you want a new phone and you can get a new phone by signing a new contract with someone else.

I betcha they offer you a nice sized phone credit $100-150 possibly. You will have to renew your contract though if you do this.

Thats the one advantage Sprint has over all otehr carriers... their customer service is the most generous on giving out freebies than any other carrier. AT&T is the absolute WORST in this category.

I have Verizon for about two years now- no problems as of yet. I am happy with the service.
