Centerpieces HELP finding affordable florist please!

Original post by gf1025

Hello Ladies! I really don't have an ample budget for flowers since we want to focus more on the DJ & the photographer. I think we're going to end up DYI most of the bouquets and personal flower needs but need a florist for the centerpieces. Any suggestions appreciated and also what price range should I expect for the CPs?? Please FM me if you feel more comfortable than posting it in public.

TIA!

I would recommend just going to a local florist where you live...they've all done weddings, and since they don't have mobs of people going to them they will offer you a good FAIR price.

I'm totally going to the local florist but since we live over 20 miles away from the venue I have a feeling the local florist might not be able to deliver all the way to Long Island from here, but I could be wrong.
We want the church close to our home so it would work for a local florist and I can possibly get the church and personal flowers from a florist around here and the venue flowers from a Long Island Florist....

Tim's Florist in Massapequa Park, I got everything I need under $2000

NICE!
What type of flowers are you using??

I'm using mostly tulips (since I;m getting married in march and wanted a springy feel) The center pieces are going to be a mix of spring time flowers.

Thanks for all the excellent tips! I just did a search and I have SOOO many local florists. I'll visit some of them this week to find out about the bouquets and maybe the church flowers. For the venue flowers I'll be going down the list of all the recommendations I got from you ladies! If I'm missing any other good li local florists please feel free to send them to me..
