Mine starts at 4:30 but I put 4 on the invites because my RH has a 1/2 hour hospitality with drinks and hors d'oeuvres, plus my classical guitarist will be playing!

Re: Ceremony start time on invite
After reading all of this I am BEYOND confused!
I am pretty sure that my RH has coffee and tea for those that are waiting... I guess that is something that I should find out huh? lol
Right after I posted this I went to their website:
'Hospitality Table with coffee, tea and hot cider for early arrivals'
Sweet - id totally arrive 30 minutes early for some hot apple cider in April!

I went to a ceremony today where the bride put 2:15pm on the invite because the grooms family is always late, but in actuality, the ceremony started at 2:30pm. I knew this in advance, but apparently others didn't know about the time diferrence and I heard some grumblings around me about how late the bridal party was.
being a teacher, I'm always on time so I guess I just expect others to be as well. i put the exact time on my invite and if they're late, it sucks to be them and I might give them detention
Seriously though, I 've never been to a wedding, before today, that had the 'wrong' time for the ceremony start time....I'd say you're fine Jess!
Yea I am going to ask for a 15 minute window, but that's about it.
It's really such a shame people can not leave early to be somewhere on time. Why is that such a hard concept. I will make sure no one interrupts and comes in late....they will have to miss it and catch me on the flip side!
If you have a hospitality room then that makes sense to put an earlier time.

Re: Ceremony start time on invite
I put the exact ceremony start time, and we didn't have any problems. I don't think I've ever been to a wedding where everything started exactly on time...something winds up getting delayed at least a few minutes.

I put the exact start time, I don't want people waiting and getting bored. If they're late then that's their loss lol

I'm putting 30 min early only bc people from my culture are notorious for being late! lol
Not my culture, but FHs (at least I think so- maybe its just his family. I don't know many Russians). We put 11, and I plan on walking down the aisle at 11:30. FMIL is soo upset by this she keeps telling me people are going to miss the ceremony. My response- 'if its a priority, they will be there'.

We put the exact start time. It's not fair to the people who actually arrive on time or early to have to wait around IMO!
