My Ceremony starts at 2:30 and I want to make sure it starts at 2:30 sharp so we have enough time in between to not be rushed while at OWG. Should I put a quarter past two as my ceremony time?

Re: Ceremony time...to lie or not to lie????
I put an hour earlier for out of town guests and because I know how my family is. We have a pre-cocktail room where everyone can gather so its not such a big deal.

Re: Ceremony time...to lie or not to lie????
My hall actually recommended that we put 15 minutes earlier on our invites but instead of 15, I will be putting 1/2 hour.

I have a big gap between the ceremony and the reception so I am gonna ask my church if I can start a 10-15 min late

Re: Ceremony time...to lie or not to lie????
I wouldn't put more than 15 minutes I'm usually one of those guests who over estimates time just sothat I can make it but end up ridiculously early.

We have a 12 noon start time and put 11:30a.m. on invites.
At Jericho Terrace when you have aceremony they set up a wine and cheese room for all of your guests that are waiting for the ceremony to start.......
They will be well tended too

definitely lie. Put 2:00.
My ceremony was 12:30. By 12:00, only 1/2 my guests were there. I had people even arrive AFTER 12:30...

Re: Ceremony time...to lie or not to lie????
I'll definately be lying my a$$ and delaying the ceremony by about 5 mins. My family is TERRIBLE! They dont even know what the word 'on time' means. My cousin got marrried last year in august and my aunt and uncle almost missed his ceremony because the hall was pushing for them to start but my aunt was at hotel still getting dressed! My ceremony starts at 4 but my invites will say 4 and my website will say 4 SHARP!

Re: Ceremony time...to lie or not to lie????
absolutely lying. Ceremony is at 2, i'm putting 1:30. I already cleared it w/ the ceremony location that they are ok w/ people coming early but I'll tell my punctual guests (only one family) the real time. At our eparty our invite said 2 and no one came til almost 4pm...its an omen! lol

Re: Ceremony time...to lie or not to lie????
Everyone I know is usually on time, but there are some people that like to be fashionably late, so I might put 15 min. earlier for the ceremony.

Re: Ceremony time...to lie or not to lie????
Our ceremony starts at 11:30 but we were told to put 11 on the invites. We are signing the Ketbubah at 11 so only the people who show up early will get to see.
