Thanks - Twelfth night - Im going to check them out :) Who are you using?
The prices on the site might be old... and you are probably better off trying to call, theyre a little tough to get ahold of... We are using Dominic and Michael. Dom will stay for 5 hours, Michael for 10. We are paying $2200 for the photographers, negatives, and proofs. He doesn't charge for albums until afterwards!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Can you girls tell me what food you are choosing for dinner etc?I went to the food tasting and I dont think they offered everything, but I was told by my 5 guests to definately get the chateaubriand, stuffed shrimp and chicken cordon bleu. Im thinking of also having the ribs.
What about you

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
I actually didn't care for the ChateauBriand. I had never had it that way before and FI and I prefer Filet Minion or Skirt Steak, so for the beef, we'll probably pick the Prime Rib. But, we absolutely loved the Filet of Sole and the Salmon was good too, so that will be a toss-up. We liked the Veal and Chicken Cordon Bleu dishes as well. We'll have to go taste once more before we set the menu. They only give you 6 dishes at the tasting, but I think there's something like 12 to choose from on the master list. The 6 they give you happen to be the most popular. I just want to pick everything bec. they are all so good.

You can get a veggie platter without having to make it a choice on the menu. Next tasting, you should ask to have their veggie. I'm sure they'll put something together for you.

I'm assuming so as I want to do this too. I have a list of questions for Nick that I'm going to ask when we have our CLM GTG.

Actually not such a bad idea. And before we even ask him, some of the other brides there might already have the answers for us.

For those of you who have already been to a tasting, you know that Nick will have a lot of people to cater to that night. It may not be the best time for a question and answer time. We had wanted to finalize our menu before a tasting dinner so we could then stay for the dinner, but he asked us not to do it that night because it was so busy.

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
That's true - good point. Maybe we can type up the questions and give it to him and then one of us can call him back another day and get all the answers. I didn't realize we were going to a regular food tasting. I thought it was a night just for us. Either way, you're right.

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
I'm not sure what it is. I did ask him that in the email he didn't respond to and forgot to ask him when I spoke with him! When I call him back with definite plans I will find out if it's a regular tasting or not...

Ladies, I wanted to know what hotel you guys are going to use. Does the hotel they suggest offer shuttle service (I think it is on 110). My FH mentioned the Bar Harbor Best Western on Sunrise (Massapequa?) Any comments/thoughts?
