Cheap yet respectable venue

Cheap yet respectable venue

Okay so I really want to get married to the man I love. The problem is at the rate we're on we'll get married in like 12 years. We both had a lot of debt that came with us into our relationship. At first the idea was to pay that off and then get married but that will take years and years. I do not want to wait that long. I also don't want to give up on the wedding of my dreams.

Here's what I'm getting at... I need to know CHEAP/AFFORDABLE/LOW BUDGET wedding venues on long island. I don't want it to be ugly though.

I have heard about the Coral House, heard its cheap yet elegant... hear anything about that?

thanks!

not sure which places but there are a few places that have package deals. i heard of some place that had three price packages. i think one was $10,000 & that included the hall, photo/video, limos, dj, flowers, cake.
maybe you should look into something like that.

or an idea could be to have something very small (just immediate family) at a restaurant and you can cut costs by doing DIY projects.

you also should think about how you are going to pay for the wedding. not one of my vendors accepted credit cards & all of my balances are due in cash. if you are going to use cash advances on your credit cards that will increase your debt.

I don't know about the Coral House, but my cousin was just married at the Brentwood Country Club last month and it was great!! THey offer a package deal including full reception and CH, flowers, limos, photo, DJ, and open bar. It was really pretty there and we had a great time! The food was good and the DJ was great. I would definatly suggest checking them out!!!

I agree with this. Only some vendors accept credit cards. Everything else needs to be paid in cold hard cash.
Good Luck!

I also believe that the Thatched Cottage in Centerport has package pricing as well for an afternoon wedding not during the peak season...not 100% sure on this but remember reading about it somewhere... it is right on the water in Centerport and has a gorgeous view!

Good luck!

My brother got married at Coral House, and while I was too young to remember, I do know that everyone had a wonderful time.

Other places that are on the lower end of the price range/have package deals: Meditterranean Manor, Historical Thatched Cottage, Sunset Harbor, The Sterling, Douglaston Manor (I think has a packaged deal)

What is your budget? I would recommend a cocktail reception they are 3 hours long elegant and will save you a ton, i wish we did the more the wedding day approaches, lol. FM me if you need anyother help. FYI the rule of thumb is the cost of your reception hall doubled is your approx cost of wedding including vendors, RH(10,000 X2= 20,000cost of wedding) hope this helps.

why not just get married at church and then have a small wedding of about 50 people and book a nice restaurant for dinner. It will cost you much less...

what about a small wedding? there is a great review just listed on the review board where the bride had it at the watermill but only 50 people. she gave some great tips as well.

the Thatched Cottage is absolutely beautiful but when i went to look they were $100 per person. if they have a package deal that fits your budget then by all means please take a look at them!

I'm still standing by the Bentwood Country Club. I am telling you it was awesome. I was so happy my cousin who was on a budget could still have the wedding of her dreams without breaking the bank. I think I had more fun at her wedding there on a Sunday afternoon than I had at some more costly wedding venues.

I heard that mediterranian manor includes everything such as dj, limo, flowers, ect... for very cheap and the room is pretty.
