Re: Cheating Poll - Part II
i really think that i would end it. As much as i could try to forgive him, i really dont think that.. No, actually i KNOW... that i could never forget. I would probably never be able to let go of it, and in the end, we would both be settling for less than we deserve.

Re: Cheating Poll - Part II
As cliche as it may sound, I come from the school of 'Once a cheater, always a cheater.' I have gotten plenty of offers since I have been with FH and I am sure it won't stop after the fact. Married women, to some men, are a conquest. If I can keep my legs together, he should be able to keep it in his pants. If he can't the trust is gone and so am I.

i dont think i could ever forgive
I know I could never FORGET and I think that would be most detrimental to the relationship.

Re: Cheating Poll - Part II
it would be hard to stay, but i put im not sure because until the situation is right in front of my face (and i hope it never ever is) i dont know what i would do.
I know a couple where the man had been cheating for years, they had 3 children together, they worked it out and are doing great
i know another couple where they broke up...
it really all depends on so many factors for me i am not saying i would stay and evertything would perfect, I truly and honesty dont know what i would do and i hope i never have to

I would probably stay. It takes hard work and time on both sides, but that's what marriage is! Thankfully, I will never have to worry about it.

I think I'd end it, but I don't know how I would react if I were actually in that situation.

I would stay and try to work through things. If he wants to try sincerely and make amends, I would give him the chance

Re: Cheating Poll - Part II
I would kick his a$$ to the curb!!
Been there, Done that! The relationship will never be the same (for me anyway).
I have an EX-FI. He cheated on me soooo bad and my stupid a$$ took him back. After a few months I was just like 'I can't live this way anymore' I had ABSOLUTLY no trust for him. I found myself driving pass his house at night to make sure he was home when he said he was going to bed. (FYI- i live in bklyn and he lived in kings park - that is over an hour away)
I will never allow myself to go through that again!!!

Re: Cheating Poll - Part II
I don't know if I'd be so quick to give up on my marriage. It depends alot on the circumstances of the situation. Most likely though, it probably wouldn't work after that anyway if he cheated.

I can easily say that if I was still married and that happened, I would leave him, but you never know until you are in the situation itself. I knew a few people like that who were faced with this situation and worked it out. Easier said then done!

Re: Cheating Poll - Part II
I figure 'for better or for worse' - I'm sticking to it. My parents went through this almost 20 years ago. My mother was completely shattered - but stuck with the marriage. Every day I am so thankful she did.
They been married 38 years now, and have an incredibly loving relationship. Because of the hell and hard work they BOTH went through to make their marriage work, I feel I have an very realistic and healthy attitude about the ups and downs of marriage.

I don't know what I'd do. Most likely, I'd leave him - but I have never really thought about that.
