Cheney blasted Edwards for a poor attendance record, and claimed he had never met the senator before their Vice Presidential debate .. I guess this photo is a lie!
In addition, (as quoted from JohnKerry.com) .. this is what Cheney said at the time ...
Cheney Thanked Edwards At the National Prayer Breakfast. Addressing the National Prayer Breakast, Cheney said: “Thank you. Thank you very much. Clearly Edwards dropped the ball on not firing back with this meeting .. HOWEVER .. Cheney by far made the bigger blunder .. if you're going to launch an attack, make sure you get the facts straight.

I guess there really are people who buy into the republican propaganda machine......
During the debates - every time the republicans were forced to explain one of their many lies they defaulted to the tired 'flip - flop' argument.
