Children at the wedding

Children at the wedding

I have alot of young children in my family. I am talking like about 20 kids. I do not feel that a wedding is the place for children. Is it bad not to invite the children. My mother thinks I am crazy. I just feel that the kids that are in the BP should be there and thats it. What do YOY THINK?

if your mom's paying, she wants kids, and shes willing to invite them...than go for it i guess...

ideally i'd like no kids at my wedding either, but thats just not possible! [ family feuds. or fights will break out, ppl upset] my parents cant have that...so theyre just inviting all lol

good luck

agreed completely. the thought of no kids crossed my mind for a moment, but before i even expressed that idea, i knew the answer: dream on. and the kids ended up being an adorable fixture! they didn't ruin pictures and in fact, are only in 2 pictures that the photographer grabbed them to be in!

I also have a lot of kids in both mine and FH's family (at least 50 kids between the 2 families) however we are not having kids at the reception. I am having a night wedding and I do not want the parents of the kids to have to worry about their children getting tired and falling asleep, or leaving early because their kids are becoming tired and cranky. We wanted all of our guests to have a good time without having to worry about babysitting as well. I think this way worked out best for us and our guests.

I would agree NO KIDS...but that backfired on me. I was forced to invite them anyway...I guess it varies with each family..Good luck

see im really close to my lil cousins....I would feel horrible not inviting them...but people who are not family..like friends who have kids...nope they cant bring them.

Only cousins (kids) are coming.

yea bc unless they are babies...i think 5yrs old and older...they can have fun at the wedding..it has always been a spot with me..even the engagement party..im close to my cousins of all ages.

but everyone has different opinions. I know people that said no kids for their own reasons...and it is all up to the bride n groom. it is how YOU GUYS feel no one else.

i had 2 kids and a baby. it caused a lot of heartache within the family and it is still going on now.

stick to your guns. it's your wedding

We are having kids, even though I didnt want any there, but we are doing an age limit. It is started at no kids below 10, but now one 7 year old is coming.

Re: Children at the wedding

i couldnt imagine getting married without my nieces and nephews there. . .i couldnt put them all in the wedding but it would be like getting married without my brother or sister there - it just wouldnt be right. . .

my niece and nephew were not invited to a cousin's wedding and even the B&G commented on how sad it was that they werent there. . . they werent in any of the pictures and my niece was old enough to ask 'why doesnt Zio XXXX want me at his wedding?'

so since they are all going to be invited. . . of course I can't NOT invite other kids. . .so all kids will be welcome with open arms - most people will probably make the decision NOT to bring them. . . but if they do - i trust that they will watch them as i have not noticed problems at any other weddings we have attended for family

and the highlight of my brother's wedding was my niece Hope. . . twirling around on the dance floor for hours - havning the time of her life!
