Anyone getting married in a catholic church. I called mine today and their 'donation' is over 1k! I cannot believe that! It does include Pre-Cana but what does that normally cost? Also, do you have to tip the priest on top of this donation?

I went today and it is 800 with organist, I wanted to get married in Espo22's church but Fh is all about MPB! Makes no sense!
Pre Cana in Brooklyn/Queens is $195, not sure in Nassau/Suffolk how much it is since it is another diocese.

My precana in nassau is $75. the church told me that if i were to do it directly with the diocese it would be more. The 'donation' is $550.

NY is crazyy!!! lol! im getting married in a catholic church and we, in pa, dont have any required amount that we have to donate!
