FH and I arent very religious at all. However, I've always envisioned a church wedding. What are you girs doing? Does it save alot of money to skip the church part?

Re: church vs RH ceremony
My FH is a diff religion than I am, so we were looking at places that had a sepertate room for the ceremony. It's a good comprimise and i think it's easy for the guests, since they are already at the locatoin of the wedding, but we are also paying $1,000 extra for only 25 mins for the ceremony. I don't know how much it goes for in the church.

Re: church vs RH ceremony
i had always envisioned myself getting married in a church as well but FH never made his confirmation and he is very uncomfortable in a church. he said he would do the confirmation thing but then i started thinking 'on our wedding day do i really want FH uncomfortable because he is in a church?' so i told him if i like what our RH has to offer then we'll do it there. FLowerfield does a beautiful ceremony so we're getting married there. its also easy on the limos, guest travel and timing for pictures and what not so it was a win win for us

Re: church vs RH ceremony
we choose to have it at the RH for conveniency. also, the more engrossed I became with wedding planning, the more I realized I wanted an outside wedding (weather permitted of course). my RH charges 650 for the use of their ceremony space and they provide a lot with the price.
