$450.00 is the requested donation. i am going to try to give a little more. I am not using their musicians, so I am not sure if that would have been an additional fee, I think it was included within the $450.00

wow - i'm out of it. i didn't know you had to pay for pre-cana!! maybe i should go to the church soon. lol.

Pre-Cana varies parish to parish. You can do a weekend away (sponsored by the Diocese) which costs about $300-400. Or you can do weekly classes which also vary in cost. My Pre-cana is mimimal... just $50.00.... probably just to cover the cost of materials.

I would suggest talking about Pre-Cana with your priest ASAP, especially if you've already booked your date. Many parishes just run a fall and a spring session, so you'll need to make sure you're in the right one. FH and I start ours in October for a Feb. '07 wedding.

We paid a voluntary donation since I grew up with the pastor's kids :)

I'm not sure the exact amount we ended up giving the church as my dad took care of paying that... but I'm sure it was a good couple hundred dollars or so.

Our Church is 325.00 plus 255.00 for the organist/signer and then 20.00 each alter boy.
Now Im wondering if we dont have a singer if the 255.00 price gets cut in half?

I need to check into pre-cana also I guess!!!

Is anyone having flowers at their Church??

the 'suggested donation' is $550 which includes the $200 fee to the singer and organist. i think it's so funny that they TELL you what you should donate!
