We're getting married at Planting Fields Arboretum at 10:30am, ceremony should be over at 11am, which leaves an hour for pictures until the cocktail hour starts at 12.
We weren't planning on attending the cocktail hour but instead, sneaking into the reception hall (Milleridge Carraige House) and hanging out in the bridal suite.
Problem now is that there's no way to get into the building without passing through the cocktail hour.
Which means we would be greeting everyone and attending the cocktail hour, at least for a few minutes.
But we still wanted to do the 'introductions' portion of the reception.
How silly do you think it would be to show up at the cocktail hour, head inside about 12:30pm for pictures inside, hang out in the bridal suite, and then have the DJ introduce us at the start of the reception?
I feel a little silly about it but I want my nieces and nephews to have a big introduction, I think it would really make them feel special.
What do you think?

We are most likely going to attend the cocktail hour and then be introduced too.
We are doing the same thing. I think it's really common these days, and people won't find it weird at all...
