Color specific wedding.

I am having a strictly purple and silver decor wedding. I would like to ask my guests to wear purple, silver, white, grey or black but my mother thinks that is inappropriate and would be embarrassed if I did it. Is it wrong for me to ask this of my guests?

Color specific wedding.

I think you could ask or put in the invite that it is themed with certain colors if guests would like to participate but I wouldn't be set on having everyone come that way!

I agree with this

I agree also and I most definitely wouldn't put white on there. I wouldn't want anyone else wearing white. JMO
