We FINALLY have our own board!

Hey, many of you know me, I've bene here forever!

I'm Jenn, student, theatre major
Doug writes programs that support the traders at a major FI (can you tell I have no clue?).

Got engaged almost a year ago on 1/10/04. He proposed just after the spectromagic parade and just before the fireworks in front of Cinderella's castle at our favorite place in the whole world (aside from each other's arms), Walt Disney World. We're happy to have photographic evidence of the proposal (see profile pic).

We've been together for 5.5 years. So far we've booked our hall, North Ritz Club, next steps are to work on the ceremony and officiants (interfaith), photographer and to slim down enough to try on some gowns!!!

ok lets see: Sarah and FH is Chris. Got engaged at Jones Beach on nov 1, 2003 ( really cheesy proposal, i feel jipped.) and our date is aug, 4 2006 at Stewart manor cc.

we have been together for 4 years and 2 months. i work for Canon and he is an asst conductor for the LIRR.

OMG Can't believe we've got our own site!!!

I'm Lucille, FI is Ron. Been engaged since Valentine's Day of 2004 - - dating for almost 4 years now.

We live in Huntington Station with our 2 dogs - and I can't wait to go meet with some vendors!!! Just have to find the time. I work in NJ and commute about 5 hours each day....hopefully that will change soon (I'm a consultant).

This is so exciting! My FI and I got engaged on Nov 5th walking to dinner through the park near Gracie Mansion in NYC. We were high school sweethearts and dated for 5 years, took a little break, and got back together about 2 1/2 years ago....now we're getting married next year!

Yeah We made it!!!!!! Im sooo excited just another year and it'll be our turn. I hope to meet all of you at the WOTY next week.
We were engaged after the air show at jones beach on memorial day. The army was there making dog tags for everyone. Although not the way I dreamed of it still very sweet. FH took me to my favorite place on the nautical mile JC Cove and then for a walk down to the pier were he gave me my own little tag that says Will You Marry Me? Now that he bought the ring he says he's going to get down on one knee and ask me again even though of course I said yes!
We booked the church and the hall but that's it, everything else is just ideas.

Hi- I am lurking on your new board. I didn't get a down on the knee proposal either and this was AFTER I told him it was a neccesity since I had been engaged before and HE didn't do it. It still bugs me and its been almost a year. My proposal was romantic- on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mex at Sunset but I really wanted THE KNEE!!!!!

hey don't worry. i didn't even get proposed. it was most like a mutual agreement.
btw, i'm tania and my hubby is will.
we are already married but we are having the wedding we never had. we only had a civil ceremony. We will be doing it in mexico, just us and our daughter. we decided this after coming to the realization that we couldn't have anything in ny with a budget of 5000 so it works out better because we need a very deserving vacation and its pretty stress free.

My name is Sabrina and my FH's name is Jimmy. We got engaged on Nov. 29, 2004 in Disney...while watching the wishes fireworks show from the Magic Kingdom...

We've been together for 2 years...but we've know each other since I was 15 and he was 17...I had a crush onhim and he wanted nothing to do with me

He moved to Colorodo when he was 21 and I didn't him again until he moved back into the neighborhood seven years later...we ran into each and are now planing our lives together

I'm Amanda FH is Josh and we got engaged on our 2 year anniversary (11/7/04). He proposed in our favorite waterfront location where we spend much of our time.
We both live in the DC area, but I'm from Oceanside.

Wedding will be at the Merchant Marine Academy, and we're hoping for a March 2006 wedding.

Nope. I did not either.

I knew about the ring (Heck I designed it), but did not know when I was going to get it.

One Sunday, while preparing to go to a friends house for a BBQ, he asked me if I wanted him to just give me the ring or if I wanted it in a special way. I (jokingly) said 'If you just giving it ot me means I get it this week, then just give it to me' I then told him, he could do it however he wanted, this was his thing to do his way.

He then asked if he could use my phone and proceeded to make a call. All I hear is 'Hi, it's Sebastian, how are you? Good. Yes please. Hi, it's Sebastian, how are you? Good. Yes please. Hi, it's Sebastian, how are you? Good. Well, I am calling to ask if I can marry your daughter?' As he said the last part, he pulled out the ring (from under the coffee table) and turned to me and said 'So, will you marry me?' The first person he spoke with was my 11 yr old step-brother, then my step-mother and finally my dad!

Oh, my name is Jill, FH is Sebastian.

We met in the NYPD Police Academy in Oct 2000, officially started dating in May 2001, became engaged July 18, 2004 and will be married on June 29, 2006!

I work for a vision insurance company (Davis Vision) and he is still with NYPD (in Queens).

All we have booked is the church and hall. Working on the rest in the next couple months!

I'm Jen, I am a attorney so is my FI, Jason, we met in law school and have been together for 4 years. We got engaged on Nov. 8, 2003, it was our anniversary and it was perfect.

We have booked our hall, priest, DJ, photo/video and I ordered my dress!

So my name is Simone and My Fh name is Jameel. I work at NYU School of Law as an event coordinator full time and I have my own business doing wedding and event planning part-time. My FH is a video game anaylst. WE live together in Hempstead with his mom right now. Me an my FH met on the Long Island Railroad and were together for a year and a half before he popped the question.

Our engagement was so romantic because he did a suprise vacation in Disney World Orlando, FL. I didnt even know we were going to get engaged. Anyway one night at the pool at the resort we were staying at, he had me open a present with a CD player inside, I'm like OMG i really wanted a CD Player. So next there is a CD with the CD player I'm like ok this is going to be fun (still oblivious to what was really going on) so i put in the CD and his voice is on it talking about how much he loves me how we met why he wants to be with me forever. I had to hold back the tears. Then after his voice went off Shania Twains song 'Looks like we made it' and it went off. He got down on one knee and ask me to marry him. I was in such shock i cried and cried and cried and he did too, which is something that he never does. I wish i could relive that moment.
