Ideally, we'll leave June 20th. Nothings booked yet, but Costa Rica looks AMAZING. I don't really know much about it though, so I have to do my research.

i was dyinggggggggggg to go, until my travel agent convinced me that while its beautiful, its more of a rugid vacation, with the dirt roads and all that, and the more i thought about it, she was right, i still wanna do costa rica, but i want a luxurious honeymoon, so we decieded against it

Oooh that's good insight. See, I'm a PITA. I want a honeymoon where I can stay in luxurious over-water bungalow (like Tahiti) but I also want a place that on days we feel like it, we can do some adventures (like see a rainforest and go zip-lining) and have some excitement.
Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure it's rainy season in Panama that time, too.
I just need to get my butt to a travel agent to talk all this out.

Re: Costa Rica
I went to Costa Rica in middle of July 2008. It was peak rainy season. For the week it did rain almost every day but it was only for 10 minutes in the afternoon and then would stop. We had one full day of rain. Nothing big.

Re: Costa Rica
We went to a couple years ago. It was awesome! We stayed in Manuel Antonio and rented a house, but one night we stayed a bit more inland at this 'coffee plantation' hotel which was really nice, but I never saw where the coffee was growing! Manuel Antonio is really nice, there are a lot of hotels. But yeah, dirt roads, local places...it's more of an adventure type trip. Not really a pampering thing. But we didn't stay at a resort. There were some nice looking hotels, one had an infinity pool you could watch the sunset in. We went at the end of March to beginning of April and it was really gorgeous. I think it only rained a few times but never all day.

Re: Costa Rica
We are going to Costa Rica and absolutely cannot wait! Going to Arenal for 3 nights and then Manuel Antonio for 5.
I have heard that even during the rainy season it only rains for a few minutes/day. Also, you might want to check out the pacific coast...might be sunnier.
