Cremony Help...Need a church!

I am protestant and my FH is Methodist. He lives upstate and I live out east. Our Reception is in Plainview. Most churches I have been calling say you have to be a member there. Anybody know a church that will marry us near or around Plainview.

Cremony Help...Need a church!

Well it's not too close to Plainview but I got married at St. James Lutheran Church in St. James. I am Catholic and my husband doesn't really have a religion and we were able to get married there even though we are not members.

Well if any close family member is a a parishioner @ a church in Plainview (or nearby) they might be able to help you. They could possibly talk to a highter up at that particular church & they MIGHT make an exception.

the lutheran church will allow you to marry without being lutheran, and with no pre cana. plus they are small cute churches most of the time were the minister is actually married and also you are the only bride that day.

Cremony Help...Need a church!

We are gettting married at the Presbyterian Church in Islip. They were pretty flexible about letting people who are not members marry in their church - it is a bit far from Plainview but it could always be a last resort. Best of luck with your planning!
