are your tonsils hard to find or 'saying' things no one can figure out the meaning of???
Don't mean to poke fun. Just the idea of a tonsil being cryptic made me chuckle.

I too suffer from this except I never knew it was an actual medical condition. FH thinks I'm gross when I sit on the bathroom counter and fish them out with a wet Q-tip!!!
I knew there had to be others! Surgery isn't an option for me. First of all, I dont have health insurance. Second, I'm rarely sick from it, its more of a nuisance. Third, I'm a singer and I'm not about to mess with my throat.
I haven't been successful in picking them out with qtips, however, sometimes when I sneeze a piece gets dislodged!! Its so disgusting!!!! It happened to me last night, hence I started this thread.

YUUUUUUUUUUUUP. Me too... I can pop them like zits. I used to use qtips like the above posters. Then I started using blackhead removers. You know, the wire thingies that the facial girls use? I am convinced this is causing my bad breath. I am SO self conscious
I was also a professional singer for years so I never got surgery. But I am considering it now...

and how do you girls clean them without gagging? i gag when i brush my tongue so i dont think i could ever do that!

I have this too. It is really gross and nasty. Especially when you have to empty out the crypts because you can see the white crap stuck in them. It's amazing the amount of stuff that can get stuck in them. It happens from chronic strep and tonsilitis. They will not remove your tonsils for this, unfortunately.

I used to get tonsillitis at least 4 times a year... so i have the same problem with my tonsils. my doctor suggested a water pik machine to help get rid of the crap that gets caught in there now (I spent like $50 bucks on it at target). It gets rid of everything in my tonsils... works really good. I gag a little cause it is like squirting water in the back of your throat. but seriously it is the best $50 i ever spent. this is the one I have:
