I also like the idea of a buddy . I also FM mail Ron to ask him if we can have a page on this board, waiting to hear back from him.
I was almost in tears to see that I am not the only one going thru this myself. It just stinks that our moms/dads or both are not here to share this and every day of our lives thru this special time.
Got a question, I am wondering how are you girls wording the invitations? My mom and dad are both gone, and I found an envelope that my dad had put aside with some cash in it for my wedding, his mom is not paying for anything and we are paying for the wedding by ourselves. How would you word the invites???

It was so hard deciding how to word the invitations b/c not only is Mom deceased but FH's parents are separated, and now his father just passed.

My entire family is wonderful and helping me with the wedding. Although his is not really, I didn't want to oust anyone.

I'm going to start a thread for our first GTG .
It will definitely be after June, so that we can all get prepared (and so that I can get married, LOL

FOr those tho' who need someone to talk to, I am ALWAYS available, wedding planning or not.
Please FM me for my cell phone number and I will talk to you and be the buddy until our first GTG.
I would like to shoot for late June or early July, maybe a Saturday afternoon.
For those of you with children, they are welcome.
Like I said, I will begin a separate thread to discuss this.

Although I am fortunate to have both of my parents still with me (and I was married over two years ago), my father has been very sick for the last few years and just recently had a kidney transplant, which will hopefully improve his health. Therefore, I can truly appreciate having parents face mortality, and being forced to face the very real possibility of losing them. My heart really goes out to you ladies, and I only hope that on your special day, you will feel your parents and passed loved ones in your heart as you walk down the aisles. Obviously each of the mothers that was discussed in this thread raised wonderful, caring, and loving daughters, and you should be proud of yourselves! Hugs to you all.

we went to the cemetery this monring and it was hard - my mom was so uspet for fh and i that she cancelled mother's day (despite us wanting to try and do it) and didn't want to celebrate this year....thinking of you all today!

as a few people know my mother passed away about a month ago. Today i spent my first mothers day at the cemetary instead of planting flowers with her as we always have.
