David's Bridal Dresses

Are they any good. I typically don't like David's Bridal as a store. I've just heard some horror stories... however, I've fallen in love with a dress there and I have to go pick up a BM dress there next week for a wedding I'm in in August, so I figured I might as well try on some gowns for fun. Any thoughts?

Re: David's Bridal Dresses

They do have some nice dresses, I went to try some out there but was abit shocked at some of the prices for the nicer ones ($1000 easy), but they are also big imitators so if you find a dress there make sure you check online to see if you can find a similar dress for less. There is a good chance you will. :)

Good luck!

Re: David's Bridal Dresses

Just don't expect miracles from the staff. they do replicate a lot of things...my FG dress is a knock off...but i like theirs better...the original is a 'tea length' style and theirs is floor length and not all poofy.

my dress is from there....pics in slbums.

I've heard negative things about almost every shop. Just go in open minded and make sure you're ready to be patient.

The horror stories I've heard have mainly been regarding alterations.

Re: David's Bridal Dresses

I purchased my dress from davids bridal. I love love love my dress. I had a not so great experience with the store and chose not to order my bridesmaid dresses there. There is a fellow LIW bride, MSNORA who works at the davids bridal at source mall. She is amazing and very helpful. If you do go with davids bridal be sure to use her as your sales associate!!

I agree I would also like to add that you get what you pay for...while the dresses are nice the service is a nightmare and so (I hear) is there alterations...but I didnt let that stop me from buying my dress

Re: David's Bridal Dresses

I bought my wedding gown there and I love it!!! I didn't find anything else like it that I loved as much! Their prices are exceptional, customer services leaves a lot to be desired, but I took my dress to Phyllis to be altered and I'm happy all around!

Re: David's Bridal Dresses

One of my close friends got her dress there and had no problems, she did not have it altered there because it was far from her home. She just took it to an independant seamstress

Re: David's Bridal Dresses

if you're looking for good prices, definately go there. but the service *****. it's a chain store so you're not gonna get that sales person who really cares. they follow rules and have guidelines like any other store in the mall.

Re: David's Bridal Dresses

I was so anti David's until I saw my dress in a magazine and fell in love. Little did I know it was from David's. My one tip- go on a week night. Its much quieter and the actually have time to help you.
