Hi Ladies, I picked up my dress last night ....I love it! BUT it just fits and its not very comfy....it also has a line across it because its too tight..can't really explain... I've been crying because it just doesn't look right. Do you think DB will exchange it for a bigger size? Does anyone know their policy or have dealt with this problem before?
Thanks ladies!

Re: David's Bridal Exchange Policy
It JUST fits. It closes but the front of the dress has a line or a crease because its too tight. Its noticeable which upsets me but it didn't help that in the morning I got my period right before trying it on and I didn't try it on with the right undergarments. I have a year to drop some lbs but I don't want to rely on that.

Don't worry I didn't take it wrong. Yes, I did try it on in store and I felt like maybe I wasn't wearing the proper undergarments. Also, I think I just got caught up in the moment..you know?

Re: David's Bridal Exchange Policy
I've had my issues with them as well. When I ordered my dress it was being discountinued and I wanted it made very clear there wouldn't be any problems getting it since it was being discontinued.... Well the dress came in with a pull across the front and black pencils marks all over the back.
My dad and I were ready to kill every single person in there but I do have to say they were trying their absolute hardest to please me. They stopped everything they were doing to find/fix the dress. This was at Massapequa.
Also when my headpiece came in I didn't like it and they allowed me to exchange it and my sisters bridesmaid dress came in and was skin tight they also allowed us to return it and ordered a us new one in a bigger size.
So my suggestion would be to go to Massapequa and tell them everything thats going on.

Call their Corporate Office 1-800-823-2403..I bought a discontinued bridesmaid dress online and it said, 'No exchanges or returns'..my daughter gained weight and I needed a bigger size...I called 6 MONTHS LATER....and they let me exchange it for a bigger size..you arent asking for your money back, only an exchange..cant see why they wont do it...dont take no for an answer!!

Re: David's Bridal Exchange Policy
I tried to exchange a dress a week after I bought it (Lake Grove store) and got lectured by the manager that 'all sales are final' means no exchanges/returns...nothing! I was stuck with the dress. They even gave me a hard time about exchanging a $8 garter that was unopened and given as a gift to get a more expensive picture frame instead.

Re: David's Bridal Exchange Policy
Is your wedding July 9 of 2011? If it just fits and you need to lose about 5 lbs to make it comfortable could you try that? I am not being RUDE at all so please dont take it that way, please! Im just brainstorming if there isnt anything Davids Bridal can do. People always say you lose a few lbs right before the wedding from the stress!

Re: David's Bridal Exchange Policy
CantWait..Don't worry about being rude because your not being rude...=)
I actually just got off the phone with the lovely ladies at the Massapequa store and the manager said she would be more than happy to exchange my dress. I'm so happy.
Like some of you said I should of just went to the Massapequa store in the first place.
Thanks again for all of your advice, kind words and motivation.
