Day of Shoes- With PIX & POLL! ~UPDATE~

Morning ladies! Someone posted about her shoes and it got me thinking ALOT about MY shoes

I need major help here- My shoes are $240 online, will probably end up being $300 after shipping charges. [I havent seen them at any store yet]

Anyway- Me and FH are paying for most of the wedding ourselves, and just bought a house. So we're WAY in over our heads financially. Can I justify actually spending this much on shoes???

I dont know if you can tell, but the shoes match the sash on my dress perfectly!

Thanks to iamvocal72, shopaholic07 & HamptonsBride- I was able to find similar shoes that were much less, AND found these exact ones for $219 with FREE SHIPPING from Zappos.com...

So does the jump from potentially $300 to $219 sway any decisions?

the shoes are gorgeous...i just don't think its worth it for one day...nobody is going to see them!! It's not like u ever really have a reason to wear white shoes on an everyday basis!

Naaa...I think she'll wear em again...She's got tons of weddings in 07 besides her own and mine in 08. Plus we go to a white party every yr....not like cross burning LOL my FH throws one on a Manhattan rooftop...she could definately wear em then...

They are great shoes, but for that much you could splurge on something else that everyone else can enjoy, nobody is going to see them really and you probably won't keep them on for that long.
But if you think you cannot live without them then go for it. Whatever you want because this is your day!!

I don't think so. As gorgeous as the shoes are, hardly anyone is going to see them, and I just don't think it's worth it. I'm in the same position with having to pay a mortgage, so spending $200+ on shoes for one day seems crazy to me.

wow even 216 seems like alot to me for shoes...100$ max is all i even looked at...i ended up getting mine for 55$

def get something similar and pay less! i love how they match the sash...

keep the shoes bookmarked, and surf ebay over the next several weeks. I wanted a pair of vera wang shoes, but found something I liked equally well on ebay for under $40 after shipping!

I too was going to pay $240 for my shoes but I did some serious research and I found the same shoes for $140. I agree it is for one day and most likely you will take off your shoes and change into something flat(at least that is what I am going to do), so spending a lot on shoes to some people is senseless. I am glad you found the shoe for a bit cheaper.

JMO, but I don't follow the 'only you get married once' rule. I think it's a lot for shoes that probably will never be seen.

I would not buy them, but that's because I was determined to stick to my budget, and splurge on the honeymoon instead.

Rosella, my very honest opinion. I LOVE your dress. I think it is absolutely gorgeous! The shoes- they're nice. I thought they were going to be some fancy looking shoe for the amount of money you want to spend. But I can't see 2-3 hundred for that type of shoe. Keep looking around and if nothing else catches your eye then treat yourself. Who knows, maybe after Christmas it will go on sale and then you can get it at an even better price!
