I know the 3 of you have very busy schedules and your life doesn't revolve around my wedding, but if you knew you weren't going to make it to the wedding you never should have rsvp'd yes in the first place.
No really, I don't mind paying for your plates even though you won't be there...really no big deal! I didn't need that extra $500!!!!! Money grows on trees anyway, right?
I'll just make sure to be as considerate to you next time around!

Re: Dear Guests that cancel at the last minute....
This is the worst
I dont understand why people who werent going to come in the first place rsvp yes and then dont show up
Its so frustrating because that could of been extra money in your pocket See if maybe you can invite 3 people last minute

Re: Dear Guests that cancel at the last minute....
Uck how annoying!!!
I didn't have anyone call us at the last minute, but we did have quite a few no-shows, which is just as bad, if not worse!!! Some people are so rude.

Sorry Jenna...
I hope and pray this doesn't happen to me next week! A friend of mine broke up with her ex this past weekend and called me on Sun to say it'll just be her - and I am calling in my final number today - so hopefully that's it!!!!

People make me mad!!! once we had figured we knew if people were coming or not.... even though we hadn't received all the replies and we still have not! I had people tell me they could now come grrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had 2 two different unrelated people... so when I was 1 person over my minimum now I am 1 person under ah people make me crazy!!!!!!!!! and the one was the best she had good concern and was upset over flight prices but really! 2 weeks befroe you are attempting to book a flight and are upset and now can't come! you sent me the reply last month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't get why they didnt book their flight then

Re: Dear Guests that cancel at the last minute....
Jenna I'm sorry, but I do certainly understand.
I am like 20 ppl under my min b/c of a large group that we thought were definites and NONE of them are coming and then someone passed away, a few others said they were coming with a guest and now they are just alone.
I'm so over it already. I've already accepted I'm paying a certain amount and that's it, but obviously I'm still annoyed.

Uuughhh I hate those type of guests. Well at least they had the decency to let you know. Did they have valid excuses though?

UGHHHHH. Because it is actually a BBQ in someone's backyard, and not a freaking wedding that you are paying tons of money per person.

Re: Dear Guests that cancel at the last minute....
We had 2 people cancel the week before and 3 not show up, one of which being a GM and DH's brother. I completely understand your frustration. We all do. Honestly, once the wedding is over all this anger will disappear, it did for me.

Re: Dear Guests that cancel at the last minute....
We had 6 people cancel after we gave our final count. 2 had a valid reason so I wasn't upset. We later heard that 2 others never planned on coming but they felt bad responding No. But I guess they didn't feel bad wasting our money!! People are so inconsiderate.

Re: Dear Guests that cancel at the last minute....
I had that same problem, but if I am not mistaken it was 6 guests One girl a HS friend emailed me that she got out of work late (9 pm) and couldn't make it. Can you believe that. I would think if you say yes, you would make sure your schedule is open!!!! Hope she invites me to her (they should have a little devil face).
Sorry that most if not all of us go through this. A friend of mine had two empty tables...Grooms side. Felt bad for her, but she didn't let that bother her, I mean you can't. You have to enjoy your day to the fullest. Once you come back from your honeymoon then get mad..... That's what I did.

Re: Dear Guests that cancel at the last minute....
ew ya thats annoying! Like okay i know some people have emergencies that come up, and thats understandable. But when people cancel for dumb reasons- it is rude! My parents friends canceled for my sisters wedding the day before and my mom and dad were not happy. They said they decided last minute to go away for the weekend. And then they gave her a $20 gift she didn't register for. Not that she cared about the gifts, but in that case they could have at least made more of an effort.

Those guests are the worst, but I still think it's better than those that come with no gift....
