I miss you too...and I hope I get to meet you, although I feel like I know you already. GA is quite the happenin' place...if you ever want to drop by!!


Yeah, the movers were HORRID. We just got our stuff yesterday and they will certainly have complaints on the BBB. My husband was thisclose to punching the driver. Aszwipes!!!!

But thankfully we have all our stuff. And lucky for us, we HATE our furniture in the house!! It was apartment perfect but not home perfect. Does that make sense?

DH and his mom's b-day

Her b-day was April 26..she turned 79! Whoa..G*D bless.

I asked him if he wanted to send her something (she is in Seattle). His reply: 'No, she's only 79.'

I guess in DH's world you only get an acknowledgment if it's a milestone b-day.

Yes Susan...you are so right!! Remember how happy I was to have 'found' them? I mean, they were good on paper - but a nightmare to deal with. So many of my Crate & Barrel stuff is broken now!!

Yes it makes sense. You will live with it a while then get some new stuff. Live in the house for a while and you will get an idea what you want.

Ok, Alex I'll take nephew for $200.


Meet my nephew Joe. He's 20. He lives with my brother. Brother is divorced. Has no money or a life.

Joe has totalled 4 cars since he got his drivers license. Brother has no license since his DWI 3 years ago. (4th one) Oh yea, forgot to say that of course, none of the accidents were his fault.

Joe can't afford car insurance (shocker). So instead of a car-he now is the proud owner of a motorcycle. He can afford motorcycle insurance.

He just totalled his motorcycle. He's ok, but is now taking the insurance money and getting another one..even better. This one goes up to 250 mph!

But don't worry Aunt Susan, I'll never go that fast!

I have moving stories...STS or State to State Van Lines - don't use them if you like your things...or go ahead and use them...if you want your sh!t broken and deliveries at 1am on a Sunday!!!

Oh no! That suks! I guess there are bigger things to worry about since it's just stuff, but you are both happy and well and have a new life in GA!

BTW-I showed your house to my DH and he couldn't believe it.

He's ready to move. If we have a kid would your relatives babysit?

I guess to keep 'positive' I'll say that I would much rather have a problem with the moving company than with the bank...at least we live in our own home...but Sunday was not pretty!! We got into a huge argument and they had to come by on Monday (yesterday) so DH and I had to take off from our new jobs...and the condition of some of our stuff was so sad. The move was too smooth...I guess something had to go wrong.
