You can use those christmas flowers as a centerpiece (sorry- I think they start with a P.)

Re: December wedding

Hi there! There are a bunch of December brides who post and if you do a search of past threads, you'll find a lot of posts on Holiday or Winter weddings.

I'm giving ornaments as favors. . . and I'm thinking of using a lot of evergreen, berries and pine cones in my decorations. You can have holiday music played before the ceremony, have Santa make an appearance at the reception (if there are children), have stockings hung at the fireplace (if there is one at the reception hall) with you and your husband's names.

I'm thinking of having carolers at the reception coctail hour - though havent done a thing about finding some.

You can carry a muff down the aisle instead of a bouquet. . . use candy canes with table assignments attached as place cards.

I think it's a wonderful time of year to get married and I know December 3 will be perfect for all of us brides! Good luck!

Find out how your hall will be decorated and start from there. Many halls have wreaths, trees or lights. They may be able to tell you what colors they use. Then, talk to your florist for more ideas.

my friend had her wedding last december. She had snowflake ornaments as favors and snowflakes on her cake. She also had holly and berries in the boquets.

Re: December wedding

We were going to do a christmas theme wedding...
After awhile of planning I just fell out of the idea. My hall is also decorated for christmas with lights and wreaths, I just decided that it would be to much with christmas a week and half after that.

But some ideas I was thinking of for the christmas wedding:

Tree centerpieces or Pointsetters
The girls I was going to have them wear muffs instead of flowers
For favors we were going to make christmas music cd's and some kind of ornament that we were going to hang on the tree.

Were still doing CD's as our favor and votive candles as our place card settings.

There is one girl on here who has really cute christmas ornament place card holders.

If you go into the search field and do winter weddings or christmas weddings you will find alot of things...

Nice to see you on here!

The candy idea is cute! very festive :)
I goto pilo now to get my hair cut so I figured why not stay there. I have one friend (an aquaintence) I might see how she is, she would come to my house so maybe it will be better.... Pilo is so expensive $95.00 for a trial and $95.00 and up for the day of.. plus make up.. so I have to see.

If I go there, most of my girls will probably go also to get there stuff done, if they want to... I know my one MOH is going to do it.

Now you will be hooked to the site!!! Im totally hooked and the girls on here are so great and creative and the reco's you get here are awesome!!!

Re: December wedding

Just went to a December wedding this past year.... here are some things they did:

Christmas Carolers at cocktail hour

CP was a wreath with candles in the middle or a small christmas tree

Favors were ornaments

Placecards had candy canes attached to them

They came out to ALl I Want For Christmas

Hot Coco passed at CH

I have also seen christmas ornament placecards on a tree
