DH just got into a car accident :(

I have a large deductible for collision insurance - even though it's not our fault, do WE need to pay the deductible, or does the other driver's insurance pay for it?

Never been in an accident before!

Teri - I know of a couple of good places in Central Nassau. FM me and I'll send you their info.

DH was in 4 accidents with our last car and it still looks like brand new.

Teri...I am glad that everyone is alright!!!!

as for insurance...there are very few times that one person is 100% at fault in NYS...1. if you hit someone from behind - that is fully stopped and 2. if you go through a red light or stop sign...

if there wasn't a sign or light at the intersection...I think it goes as no fault (as stupid as it may seem) and you would have to pay your deductable...

if it is 100% their fault...I would go through your car dealer...they will get you the right parts and you can be assured that it is repaired to manufacturers specifications...We took our car to the Saab dealer when we wee in an accident and Geico told us that we would have to pay anything over $38/hour in labor (Saab charges $80/hr), but Saab was very good to us and took the insurance settlement with nothing extra from us...
