Did you discuss the 'cake cutting' with your FH/DH?

Just wondering how all you girls handled the cake cutting? Did you and your FH discuss beforehand whether or not you were going to do a 'serious' cake cutting... did you threaten him with his life if he smushed it in your face?

I admit... I'm a little scared. I don't want to spend all the money on the dress and makeup... to have buttercream all over! Maybe just a bit of cream on the nose would be cute, but I don't want to be attacked! lol.

We had the cake talk. I told him that if he smooshed cake in my face, he wasn't getting any that night.

Re: Did you discuss the 'cake cutting' with your FH/DH?

FH & I also talked about the cake, and he knows that he better not do anything funny with the cake. I would be so unhappy if I had cake on my face after all the money that will go into the dress, make-up, and hair!!! Plus I have very sensitive skin, so if that goes on my face I will break out so bad, and I don't want that for our HM! I am almost positive he will be very good.

Re: Did you discuss the 'cake cutting' with your FH/DH?

I didn't even have to bring it up, FH promised me upfront that he won't smush cake in my face. He knows it would really upset me if I spent all this money on a dress, hair, and MU only to have him ruin it with cake.

How can people allow such a beautiful thing to become a weapon? And why would you want to do this to the person you JUST devoted your love to??

I am going to talk to him as it gets closer to the day. He won't remember if I tell him now. I don't want cake smushed on my face and he's such a jokester he would do it.

Re: Did you discuss the 'cake cutting' with your FH/DH?

We had discussed it and we both agreed that we were not going to smush the cake in our faces. Neither one of us would have even considered doing that. But we just wanted to make it clear with each other.
Besides that i didn't want to get my face messed up and my dress dirty, we were told by some family members that it was bad luck!
We had a beautiful cake cutting with out the mess.

Re: Did you discuss the 'cake cutting' with your FH/DH?

we had the cake talk with our photographer...'there will be no shoving cake in anyone's face, that just ruins your clothes, make up, hair and pictures and in reality just isn't that funny.' OK. i thnk the 2 of us will be so nervous with everyone staring that we'll be lucky if we can cut it...much less feed each other. LOL...although prior to talking with the photo. i had threatened his life if he dared...j/k, maybe.

Re: Did you discuss the 'cake cutting' with your FH/DH?

I warned FH that if he smashes cake in my face potentially messing up my dress, hair, and make-up. He will not only not be getting any on the wedding night and honeymoon, but for the whole damn month after the wedding, maybe longer. I MEAN IT TOO I also promised not to smash cake in his face as well.

Re: Did you discuss the 'cake cutting' with your FH/DH?

The cake was so far into the night that I didn't care about my makeup anymore. We went nuts. Remember, that's usually the last thing that a photographer stays for during the reception.
