did you do anything special to ask kids to be in your wedding?

i am going to be asking my flower girls & ring boy soon. i purchased a picture frame with 3 spots. the top will be for a picture of me & them, then the middle a saying, then the third will be left for a picture from the wedding.

i have no idea what kind of saying to put in for the girls & boy.

does anyone have any ideas??
TIA

I didn't, but the kids are also very young. My flower girl will be almost 3 years old by the time of the wedding, and my ring bearers will be 7 and 4.

Not really. I just asked them if they wanted to have a very special job and be my flower girl/ring bearer. They were really excited about it.

I'm going to do something similar like i'm doing to ask my bridesmaids.

I'm making a puzzle for them to put together, i'm then gonna decorate it so that when it's complete i'm gonna have it say, 'will you be my bridesmaid/ring bearer/flower girl'

I might also buy them something small but i dnot know what yet

of course we are going to ask their parents, especially since all 3 belong to the same people. that will cost them a lot of money. however my nephew who is 7 years old is very aware of what is going on. he asked FH if he could be the best man so i wanted to give him something special. however if i give him something i have to give his sisters something too. so i have the thing to give just not a nice saying.

Nope, didn't get the chance...she basically informed me that she was going to be the flower girl.

I bought them little books on amazon.com that explain what a flower girl does and what a ring bearer does. They got really into it and now they actually understand it all!

That is a cute idea...neither my flower girl nor ring bearer talk yet so I think I am just gonna tell their parents

I had to beg and plead with my nephew to be ring bearer. Now he's into it, but at first he just didn't want the job.

After asking the parents, then we asked the girls. Just asking them was enough- they were ESTATIC!

I just found cards online with really cute sayings, all three are in the same family too and I had mentioned it to their parents first like you said. Then since we asked them close to Christmas time we just got them each an ornament to go with it,
