Did you have any lash back from church if you threw something which was disallowed?
For the past brides: If your church had a 'Do Not Toss' list and you disregarded the list, did the church contact you? What happened? . My church disallows tosses, but I often see petals on the ground when I go to mass. Obviously there are rule breakers. . Thanks for your input.

our church didnt allow tossing and even though we told everyone they still tossed rice and money, didnt have any problems (we tried to pick up as much as we could)

If I were you I'd go with something that dosen't make a mess. Such as birdseed, the birds will eat up for you, and rose petals are bio-degradable and natural. Ribbons and confettie-like things make a mess that someone has to sweep up.

We tossed fake leaves and rose petals even though they have a 'no throw' policy. We had someone sweep it up afterwards and they didn't say a thing. I really wasn't worried anyway. We were already married by then anyway:)

Our church has a 'no throw' policy as well, and I wouldn't feel comfortable disrespecting that as FH's family are regular parishioners of this church. Maybe I can inquire more whne pre cana begins.
