Did you have braces as a kid?...

I did! Both my brother and sister did too. My parents have perfectly straight teeth and they didn't have braces. Ever wonder why older generations didn't have braces yet don't have bad teeth? What's that about?

I did throughout jr. highschool (7th -9th grade). My sister and two brothers did as well.

I had them for 8 years...
My older sister wore them for 14 years. Our orthodontist was a evil witch!

OMG, 14 years?? How old was she when she got them?? 8 years is pretty bad too.

My brother had them for 4 years and I thought that was long.

I only had mine 2 years, it was cool to have when I had them, so I didn't mind so much. Kids used to walk around with paper clips stretched out across there top teeth..lol

I am another victim.

Had them from 5th grade until 7th grade. I think braces are a huge scam. I had straight teeth...but they said i had a slight overbite....GRRRRRRRRRRR.

I 'm like you Chloegirl. I had a slight overbite b/c a tooth grew in wrong. I had brances from the 5th grade until the middle of the 7th grade. It seemed like all my friends had braces.

I know...it's pretty awful! I have 3 siblings..I wore them for the least amount of time!
My parents made the mistake of starting us really young. I think I was in 2nd grade when I got them. This orthodontist was seriously the worst! She had my dentist pull 11 teeth (not in one shot) so there would be enough room for my other teeth (I have a small mouth).
Mine never looked cool!

Nope not me, but my brother did, for 2 years, and when the orthodontist told him another year, he went home took my Fathers vice grips and pulled them off his teeth cement and all.....my mother wanted to kill him. His teeth are pretty straight though

No, no braces for me or my sister. She has perfectly straight teeth, I inherited my mothers skewed, right, front tooth. I used to hate it but I like it now.

I did TWICE. Once as a pre-teen and AGAIN when I was 23 for almost 2 years! My teeth grew apart and stuff, plus I was getting jaw surgery done and I had to get the braces in to help secure the jaw after surgery....
The same thing happened to my brother and he is using invisalign now to fix his.

Yup, I had'em for two years, from 5th to 7th grade. I started jr. high looking GOOD I went through my gawky stage around 10 or 11. Jr. High was a little easier for me.

Yup - 2 years. I think it was 7th through 9th grade. I hated having to wear those little rubberbands and the night brace!!!

I had them for 2 1/2 years. I had to take my hight school graducation picture with them.

I had them during 7th & 8th grade--I had them when it was 'in' to get the colored bands--lol red & orange for halloween--red white blue for july 4th etc.... lol It was a pretty painless experience for me--i just remember when they were put on my mouth was soooooooo sore and then when you went for like a check up and a tightening it was sore for a little!
