Did you register separately for your shower?

Did you register separately for your shower?

my friend is organizing a shower (and it's not a surprise, because scheduling is so difficult with my friends and me!), and she asked me today if I would be registering, for anyone who asks her...

Do people usually create a separate registry for their bridal shower, or should I just have her direct people to our main wedding registry (even though some of the items are totally not appropriate for a shower present - more expensive, etc.)?

TIA!

You use the same registries for shower and wedding

I thought that the registery was for your shower mainly, more then the wedding. I was under the assumption that most people give money for your wedding and get a gift from the registry for the shower. It is also used for the engagement. You can get cards from where you are registered to give out with the invites for the shower. Are you registered already?

we have 3 all-purpose registries with items ranging from $1.50 dipping bowls to a $449 dyson and everything in between (most on the lower end).

We got many registry gifts as engagement gifts, hopefully shower gifts will also be bought from our registry, and our OOT guests who prefer to give wrapped gifts to cash can get our wedding gifts from our registries as well.

No need to make separate ones for your shower. Plus, you might be surprised, people might chip in to get you some of the pricier items.
