Ok ladies - here's the deal, how many of you had your FH with you to register? My guy absolutely DISPISES shopping. its like pulling teeth to get him to shop even for clothes for himself.....soo, i'm having a mini battle with him now to get him to go. I've tried the 'they have a cool scanner for you to play with' ' what about beer mugs etc...' nothings working - so i'm wondering...did you have your FH with you? is it common that guys don't want to go? I feel like the gifts are for BOTH of us so he should be there...but he just says 'honey you are so good with this stuff you should do it'
what do you think?

we are going together when we register. My mom wanted to go with me but this is something for FH and I. we live together and these will be our items i think it is only right he goes

I did go with FH but I think he was only there physically. He hated it. I wound up scanning everything. He just followed me around. What about looking at some items on the website and then you go and register? You can always change it around at home on their website.

I'm going once with him, and once with my sister. we'll prob register at best buy also and we want to at least pick out a tv together.

We went together every time. We went to Fortunoff with my parents first, although we later switched most of that stuff to BBB and unoffically closed the F registry since it's inconvenient for us living out of state, and our OOT guests.
We registered at BBB and C&B (and eventually Macys) out here, but FH came with me each time. I have tweaked our registry online and even added a few items to it myself, but FH liked registering and using the scanning machine.

FH will def be there with me when we register. He knows I have good taste in these things, but he also has good taste so I would want his feedback on things that I cant decide on and vice versa.

Yes Fh came with me when I registered...He also loves to shop and he had fun. I saw some girls when we registered who were there with their mothers.
We actually have to go to 2 other places soon and ill wait until he is free to go

we went together in store a few times. since then i've just been adding things online. i doubt he has any idea what's on the registries at this point. when he was told he couldn't register for batman stuff or video games he kind of lost intrest.
ETA: he LOOOOVED the scanner gun thingy. he'd go again just to play with it. however, i had to take it away from him b/c he was registering for EVERYTHING just to play with it.

if we had gone together we would NOT be getting married right now - if he doesnt want to do something and I force him to do it. . . forget it - its like a HUGE fight so its not worth it to me!
i went once with my sister and checked out the important stuff then i came home and did the whole thing online
he doesnt care about what dishes we have etc. and its not worth the hassle!

We went together to BBB & I went to JCP with my mother & sister. I had to let him play with the scanner gun.

We're gonna do it together...I would just remind him that these are the things that you are going to be needing to start your life together and that he might want to have some input

yeah some things werent worth it to me
then again FH didnt come to vendors with me and when i made him come to one photog with me i ended up HYSTERICALLY crying the whole way there then he just tried to book teh guy so he wouldnt have to see anyone else!
if its important to you then push for it, for me i knew i would have fun if he wasnt there

FH wants to go with me, but many times they don't want to go. I say, if he doesn't want to, don't force him. it will only make the experience bad.
