Mine came very romantic.. He took a time that in my life wasn't so great and made it the most amazing moment..

I felt like I was waiting forever. I was with my boyfriend for 4 years before he proposed. He told me two summers ago that he was going to propose to me the following January (he was drunk at the time but I confirmed his statement when he was sober). Well, January came and went and still no proposal. He made me wait until the end of April until he proposed-(almost four months later). But it was definately worth the wait.

I was promised by last June and it didn't come until July 12th!!!! He had had the ring since March So I guess you could say he made me sweat it.

Mine came so early! Only about 7 months of serious dating---but it was so awesome. I've been with guys for three years and have never felt this way about someone. I didn't really mention it- he did. But I was so elated!

I knew he had something up his sleeve, but I thought it was going to on my birthday (11/30) or on Christmas; but he knows me too well and knows that I am nosy and would've been expecting it so he did it on a very random day (10/20) a beautiful fall day @ our favorite spot--he asked my dad of course AND he wanted my parents there to share it with us---how sweet is that?! They weren't RIGHT there when he did it---(They were hiding in the bushes taking pictures!!) HAHAHHA so I was shocked when he proposed!

We had plans to go look at rings last labor day weekend(this was in June). Unbeknowst to me but knowst to everyone of my friends he already had the ring! We went to Fire Island in August of last year to see the reggae band at Flynn's and all of our friends came too! I should have known something was up because it was raining! He'd been speaking to the band and they devised a plan.....During the song 'The Big Bamboo' they called me up and started singing to me about getting married and all of a sudden my FH is on the microphone and asking me to marry him and then went down on one knee in front of everyone at Flynn's it was so AWESOME I also have the whole thing on tape! I wouldn't change a thing!

Well I waited 7+ years for my proposal, but it came earlier than I thought it would. (It came much later than I wanted it too though!). But it was perfect, so who am I to complain! LOL

I'd say he made me wait a little longer than I wanted...we had 'the talk' in September 2001 and I thought for sure we'd be enagaged by the Spring. Well April came and went and then I thought it was never going to happen but my mom assured me it was and they'd had a little talk and to CHILL OUT! Glad she told me b/c I was turning inot one of those freaky girls dying to get engaged. He proposed on June 7th the NIGHT he got the ring. Apparently he'd been shopping around since March. We were playing Scrabble at home on a Friday night and I was absolutely SHOCKED.

We met in March 2001 and were planning on getting engaged by Sept 2001, but because on everything that went on that month we waited. We went shopping together for my center stone & he picked my setting(it was a style he knew I loved)
He asked me to marry him on December 18th 2001 & we got married on October 20, 2002!

Mine was a toltal suprise. A little over a year after we met. We had talked about it but I wouldn't have expected it till that summer

Mine was a total suprise. I thought we were going to get engaged around my Law school graduation (May 2003). But he popped the question a year and a half early (Feb 2002)

I always thought it took too long, but he wasn't really ready intill he asked, which I guess really mAKES IT JUST RIGHT.

It came way earlier than I thought.....he suprised me last christmas with a trip to Italy and I thought that there was no way he could afford both, but he amazed me and proposed on our first nigh there....

Mine was also early and i was totally surprised. I thought he would pop the question during Christmas this year, since I am graduating from grad school. But, he surprised me with a trip to ST. Barts and ST. Martin the end of June (I STILL HAD NO CLUE!!) and he proposed on a secluded beach in St. Barts. It was my ultimate dream proposal, especially since I did not expect it so soon!

I was totally suprised. I thought I was getting engaged, or at least asked at the end of the year, not in the middle of th year

I always knew a proposal was coming but didn't exactly expect it at any point (though we'd been together for 6 years at the time). So, it came as a surprise!

I felt like mine was totally on time - even though the one day that he chose to do it, I was a total nervous wreck since it was the first time that the in-laws were meeting my parents......
