I told them I gave the same exact floral plan to 2 other places and my lowest quote was 800 less than theirs and they were like wow that's a good quote sorry but we can't meet it. Lol. What florist did you end up going with?

Making the decision tonight but it's between Pedestals and Flowers by Brian. I'm leaning more toward Pedestals just because i really feel they have the customer service, expertise and experience i want. I think i'll feel more comfortable and feel like i'm in good hands. They're the more expensive quote though so if FH thinks it's not worth it then that's that.

Yeah i was pretty annoyed at the whole situation. It's a wonder that people still get business when they're like that. The odd thing is that some vendors have great reputations and a lot of people rave about them but some have such bad experiences... it's like that with all of the vendors.

i am so surprised your having all these issues..they were amazing for my engagement party, shower and wedding...i have nothing but positive things to say about this vendor...they were by far my favorite vendor...my sister is even using them for her wedding in 14. maybe there already booked for your date??

Not for nothing but I think u should just drop it and move on...so they didn't call u back...find another florist then..I think its wrong how your going on and on blasting someones business on here..I've been having really big issues with a well known photographer...i Didn't give out their name...i Don't want anyone that booked with them to worry..did I make a post and write that the owner didn't want to meet with me and answered the phone saying 'what's your problem?' noo.i also had an issue with my reception hall...don't sweat the small stuff...distintive Floral was amazing for me...maybe there busy and just couldn't get back to you..

Maybe you should read the whole thread, you'd see that I didn't 'put them on blast' I simply shared my experience with them...and in one of the posts I said 'it's weird that some vendors have great reps and some people rave about them while others have bad experiences with them.' Isn't the whole point of this forum to share experiences? Someone asked what I knew about distinctive and I told them. If you're confident in them that's awesome, don't worry about what I or anyone else says about them. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions...multiple people responded to this thread with both negative and positive feedback. there's no need to be sensitive about it.

So I went to distinctive tonight w my fils. We had an apt w Kelly and while I was waiting for ffil to get there the owner Brian dropped into our appointment. I have to say, I totally enjoyed my experience with them. Their showroom is beautiful and they had a bunch of samples already out. They broke everything down for us and gave us a price right away. I stated from the beginning that I had been shopping around and was looking for best prices and he never asked what I was looking at price wise. He created my vision, showed me some flowers and pictures and truly spent a lot of time with us. Ffil fell in love w him too! I was so happy when they gave us the price $500 under my lowest quote that we booked on the spot, we didn't even have to talk about it.

Now that being said, even ffil stated that if the owner was not there we would have had a totally different experience and probably wouldn't. Have been as excited as we were.

If you who go in, request that Brian sit in on you appointment I guarantee it ill be a much better experience

I asked for good and bad and I am very glad that she did give me the full details... She wasn't putting anyone on blast she was answering questions people asked. That's the purpose of this board. If a vendor screws someone I want to know so I can be cautious. I went into my appointment waiting for the other shoe to drop and thankfully it never did! I wold rather be educated than ignorant when it comes to handing over a couple grand to someone

Honestly, these small issues would not make or break my decision. I mean you said it yourself when they got back to you they were professional about it. My experience with distinctive was great. They gave me the best price out of the three florist I saw and the customer service was on point. I am going to see my final sample soon and I am so excited. Kelly helped me figure out what colors I wanted to do and made my flower experience very easy. I am not worried about them at all and I don't think anyone should be based on this chat. I mean it is all based on your budget, the experience and presentation. As far as service they are very professional in my opinion and thats what made my decision even easier.

I actually had a great experience with Kelly. She was very patient with me b/c I was very particular. She gave us a quote and we negotiated down $1,000! We're so happy.

Every single one of them has had a few bad reviews between here, Yelp, Weddingwire, etc. You need to make your own choices but it's always good to be aware of other people's experiences with them.

I booked with them last week. I dealt with Maria and she was great. She answered all my questions and knew what I wanted. She gave me a quote at the first meeting we went to. I only dealt with her and met Frank when we booked them. Frank is the owner I believe and Maria is the god-daughter. I'm sorry you ladies didn't have a great experience with them.
