DIY Donation Cards w/PICS! - Also need help from the Spanish speaking ladies please!!! UPDATED on pg 2 with new wording

I figured since I did get the DIY shield for this week, I might as well get more DIY projects done

Here's my rough draft of my Donation Cards (we're giving a donation instead of favors, but we'll also have 2x2x2 favor boxes filled with Hershey's as an extra little something).

More than 1/2 of our guests are our spanish-speaking hispanic family members, so we're doing as much as we can in both languages.

For my lovely latin ladies (and other fluent spanish speakers), can you help me with the translation into Spanish??? It's not too bad right now, but I know it can be better.

THANK YOU!!! And please let me know what you think or if you recommend any changes.

ETA: I am considering printing one per guest and having them placed on top of the menu cards at each place setting.

oooh they look great-- sorry, i can't help with the spanish either but if melissa does not see this post then FM her the link-- she speaks Spanish very well and reads/writes with it too for her job (MJDoc12).

Can you believe I'm a FLUENT spanish speaker? In fact, I didn't learn English until I started school (yes, I was BORN in NYC!! lol)... but when it comes to translations, sometimes I just blank!

I hope Melissa sees it, if not I'll take your suggestion and FM her. THANKS!

i got a few suggestions, but i'm running out the door!! nothing big, just a few corrections (major is mayor and queridos should have seres in front of it) but i'll give you the whole lupe draft tonight!!!

That 'mejor' was a typo on my part, so thanks for catching it!

Do you think that for the blank space where you suggested 'significativa' I could also use 'especial'?

OOH, 'mayor' actually works really well too! It was a typo, I meant to write 'mejor', but now I think mayor sounds better.

Ahhh, right, seres queridos.

You can't really use 'mayor' there ...JMO. I think the sentence was just translated literally and it just sounds awkward (sorry - I don;t mean to offend anyone). Mayor means greater and I think you're trying to say 'better' .

Ah, that's a good point too. But couldn't it also mean 'greatEST'? So it would be like, the greatest gift instead of the best gift?

And I just realized that you reworded my sentence (the one with mejor).. .thank you! I was so excited to see your help that at first I didn't notice that (I was just looking at the parts that were in italics).

NOTE: In the last paragraph, doesn't it sound better to leave the 'a' out before 'vivir' so that it just reads:
... que ayuda a los demás vivir de buena salud.

Sorry... I just realized that it was in two different spots...Yup..you can say el mayor regalo ...definitely. I reworded it though, that's probably why I got confused. Sorry !

U really are DIY queen. Can't help with the spanish but can ask my mom if u like. Also I wanted to tell you another bride on here made one of her inserts in spanish for her spanish guests. Just an idea.

Do you realize we have the SAME EXACT favors! hershey kisses and all! lol Except I made the mistake of making scrolls and now I'm dreading having to somehow get them to properly/nicely stay on top of the boxes in the ribbon
