LIKE your FMIL?? I don't, but I'm just curious as to how many of you do. It seems to me that most of the FMIL's are in need of some help.

I love her! It helps that we live 3000 miles away and we only have to see her twice a year though
But she is such a sweet person. Her and FH had some big issues when he was growing up, and now she is really trying to make things right and be there for him, which I give her a lot of credit for. Plus she hasn't had one bad thing to say yet about the planning (but Im sure this will change since I havent even booked a hall yet!)

I love my fmil. We had a bit of a rough start but it was mostly fh's fault. He didn't tell his poor mother that he was moving in with his gf of 2 months ( me ) until she came home while he was in the middle of loading up a truck. We get along great now. I am very happy that I am getting such a great second mom.

I get along with my FMIL pretty well. My mom and her get along well too which I am happy about. Of course everyone has their quirks.

I love my FMIL.

I think it helps that we live in a different state... but honestly, she's a wonderful person. We get along really well. She's not at all pushy about the wedding or anything else.

and I still don't think she likes me...FMIL tells FH that she loves me but trust me actions speak louder than words!!!!!!
P.S. Thank god my mom is awesome - she is my best friend and I love love love her! so she makes up for any FMIL!

I have the same situation too, I like her but I don't think she likes me especially given the events of our engagement and wedding process. FFINL is a WHOLE nother story, he thinks he knows everything and wants to be in charge of the whole event.

They aren't even helping pay for the wedding and have invited twice as many people as my parents!!!!

Thank god for my parents, my mom is also my best friend, she frustrates me at times but I love her all the same

I probably shouldn't say any of this I'm in trouble if they see it!!!!!

Same here, MIL lives in Texas, but is here now visiting. I love her, she has breakfast with us every Wednesday, while she been here, when DH is off.

For the most part I get along with my FMIL, but she can drive me up a wall at times but I don't know how I'll feel about this subject in a couple of months considering that she just moved in with us permanently the person that I really can't stand is my FSIL but that's a whole other story in its self lol

I love my FMIL she is great. SHe even takes my side most of the time hahaha but thats because shes fair and says she wont take her sons side just because its her son. But she is a great person, and has even been there for me many times

I do like her. We get along well. She is very good about giving us our space. She does not interfere or make judgment about our wedding or anything else. I love her for raising such a good man.

I really love my FMIL. She is great, patient, not judgey, and helpful. She doesn't push her ideas and stuff. Sorry to those of you have problems, but I love mine.

my fh isn't on speaking terms right now with his mom. before that I didn't really get along with her. my mom is young and fun. his mom is old, boring, and reminded me of one of those soccer moms. she also hates animals so that bothered me. I mean who can resist my small chihuahuas? she gave it looks like it was the devil. we just have nothing in common. I get along with girly moms. I hate sports, so there was nothing for us to ever talk about. she also seemed to look down at the fact my mom moved away to louisiana. saying how she just left me here? I'm 23. not 5.

also my fh was the first baby, the only one who lived at home till 28. so I think that whole your stealing my baby thing comes in. she got so mad that we went down south for the holidays. meanwhile they aren't even speaking! not to mention she isn't to happy with my career choice. I can't wait till she hears we're not getting married in a church! I envy those who love their fmil! my fh is lucky he gets my mom.

both my parents treat my fh like he's already their son. they even called him future son in law before we were even engaged! it ***** I wish my fh had a cool family to marry into. *sighs*

I LOVE my FMIL!! SHe is sooo amazing. I couldnt have asked for a better FMIL.

I always felt so comfortable with her and I love our little talks that we have. Talking with her sometimes def. comforts me!! She is def not pushy or judgement, she is always there for us when we need her.

I like mine (sometimes). She is a bit crazy and sometimes I feel like choking her but she she can be very nice and I do like talking to her. I know she wishes I LOVED her. After I got engaged to FH, she even had the nerve to tell me 'Now that you're getting married to my son you can sign your emails to me LOVE, Tamra'

MY FMIL is really funny. She loves to talk and tell stories and I never expected her to curse lol At first I barely spoke to her so she used to make me nervous but now I really like her !! My mom gets along great with her too so I couldn't ask for more.
