FH and I have been living together for about a year and will not be married until 12/4/2010...We have accumulated a LOT of stuff....(pots, cooking supplies, electronics)... How do you register for gifts for things u already have?? well obv we will still register for some fine china...but would it be tacky to register for our honeymoon?!?! one of my coworkers registered through liberty travel....
what do u guys think?

we have lived together a little over 2 years now.
We have a lot of stuff together but we will register for new and nicer stuff that we will need once we get a house.

We are living together for 2 1/2 years now. We registered for all new stuff because most of our things were hand-me-downs from our parents or really cheap stuff that we bought when we first moved in. New (better) pots and pans, everyday dinner ware, silverware, stemware, etc.
There's nothing wrong with asking for upgrades from what you have now, eventually you'd probably want it anyway.
But I also don't think it's taky to register for your honeymoon. I've heard of a lot of people doing that nowadays.

a friend of mine registered on there and did the regular registry thing also.
she registered for dinners, spa treatments, extra nights, etc... i thought it was a cute idea

We did register for some stuff...but for the most part...we don't 'need' anything..as a bride to be I think we understand other brides that would register for this..but as a guest, not sure how they will react?!?

and about the honeymoon thing...if you don't want to register for stuff, then you can definitely do that.

Yes, and we were having the same issues while standing in Crate & Barrel yesterday, actually. We're going to just upgrade, bc like others said, most of what we have is hand me down (like our every day dinnerware, glassware, etc.)
I thought about HM registry but I am not sure how my guests would feel about it so we're not gonna do that.

I haven't had any complaints from my guests so far. For my e-party, people bought us things off our registry to replace old ones we already had. FH's cousin bought us the new George Foreman grill, my godfather bought us 4 settings of our everyday dinnerwear, etc. I think it's kind of assumed that if you've been living together for a while now, you're probably registering for new things. Especially if you're going from an apartment to a house, which we did. Besides, if your guests have a problem with it, they don't have to buy it.

we have been living together for 3 years & FH lived in his own apartment for 2 years prior to that so we already have a lot of stuff. & the stuff we have is good/expensive stuff. we registered for new everyday place settings, fine china, stemware, flatware, 2 new sets of bedding (we are getting a new bedroom set) & new towels. the only appliances we need are a toaster & a new vacuum.

we have been living together for 6 years on the 21st of this month ! But we are going to register for the things we dont have(his parents gave us there stuff) So we want new pots and pans considering we have 3 kids and picture frames but the place we want for our honeymoon has a honeymoon regisrty so we are doing both! So that people can chose what they want to get us!

we've lived together for 3 years now and a lot of our items are from my apartment. we registered for everything so we could upgrade what we have. we also considered doing the honeymoon fund as well but figured we'd stick with the upgrades and Lowes. Cannot wait to register at Lowes.

we moved in together in Feb, but we didn't buy expensive things as far as pots and pans and stuff like that, being that we were engaged. So we put the better stuff on the registry to upgrade to
We've lived together over 3 years - we are registering for new stuff - I am not a fan of the honeymoon registry at all...

We are going to register at BBB becasue they will give you cash when you return anything on your registry. There are a few new things that we need but we just figure we would get the gifts then return them.
We are not going on a honeymoon right away becasue both of us are in school but if we were i would do a honeymoon registry

NO my friends brother did for his wedding,They went thur liberty travel and told people if they would like they can give a little bit as there gift for there honeymoon I think its a great idea
