Just wondering if any of you guys REALLY believe in ghosts??? Have you ever seen one? Let me tell you a wierd story.... About a yr ago, for like a 3 month period, I was seeing strange things... One morning, I opened my eyes in bed to see a MAN leaning forward STARING RIGHT AT ME and SMILING! I have NEVER seen this man before, and I can describe him to a T....I screamed, said 'OMG...who IS THAT IN MY ROOM!' and buried my head in my pillow, frozen in fear. When I reopened my eyes, he was gone....He had brown hair, green eyes, checkered button down shirt, and jeans...looked kind of spanish.... Another morning, some time later, I woke up again, opened my eyes, and THE SAME MAN was standing at my bed right by my head...all I could see was the waist of his checkered shirt and his jeans and belt cause he was standing so close....once again, I freaked out, screamed OH MY GOD and jumped out of bed..only, no one was there. I was TERRFIED. THEN...on another occasion...I woke up, and there was an old lady holding a young boys hand...they were standing at the foot of my bed.... Maybe these are all hallucintaions, but oddly, they all took place in broad daylight...and I am a light sleeper, so I wake up instantly...it;s not like I was half awake.... anyone else have any 'ghostly' experiences? Or am I just crazy? lolol
ummmm, i'm going to wait until daylight to check any of those out!

Here is my TX ghost story. IN college, I had two girlfriends stay the over after partying all night. In the morning, I wake up and look at my wall and there was this old man with a long beard (he was dressed as a train engineer) smiling ear to ear. I screamed so loud and I said, 'Who are you?' ' Get out of my HOuse' 'Who are you?' My girlfriends look at me as if I were nuts and thought I was dreaming. But, I was not dreaming, I was up already for a few minutes. I later found out that a old railroad ran through my apt. complex at one time.
Another story, I was living with my friend for a while and she had mentioned that her house was haunted. I lived with her for a good year and I had never felt any presence of a ghost. The day before I moved out, I had my bf at the time stay over. I said to myself, 'Ghost, if you exist let me feel your presence' Yes, I am a nut. WEll, we were napping and I woke up and I was laying there with my eyes close when I felt the presence of someone spooning me. I felt their legs rubbing up against mine. I thought it was my BF but I looked over and he was across the bed!! I had been awake for a while with my eyes close. Spooky! So I guess it was the ghost way of saying he exists.
you were spooning with a ghost, I think if something like this happend to me they would take me straight to a psychiatric ward

I think these stories are absolutely wonderful :) I'm a bit of a wierdo - I've been interested in ghosts since I was a little kid! I've never really seen anything clearly enough to say 'That's a ghost!' but I do have a pretty creepy story to share. When I was about 10 or 11, My friends and I were all trying to scare each other with the 'Bloody Mary' mirror ghost. If you're not familiar with this urban legend the story is that somehow she died a horrible death (there's abucnh of variations how) and you can summon her ghost by shutting out the lights and knocking on a mirror and saying her name. Supposedly this 'calls' her and she'll appear in the mirror to try and get out... So there we were, a bunch of bored kids at one of my Grandma's Irish-American Association Christmas parties, and naturally, we're all scaring each otther with the story. We were going around the circle daring each other to do it and no one would, so I volunteered. :) Anyway - we lock ourselves in the small bathroom, shut out the lights, and I started knocking on the mirror, saying Bloody Mary after each knock. WELL let me tell you HOW CREEPED OUT we got when the mirror started flickering!!!!!!!!!! I am not kidding, it was very faint, but I swear to God there was something moving in that mirror!!! We never got past that part though, bc all of a sudden the lights flew on as our parents yanked the door open and screamed at us for locking ourselves in the bathroom in the dark!!! And that was the end of that experiment. But I've alwasy remembered that to this day, and wondered.. what would we have seen if that door never opened? Creepy, huh?
I haven't seen or felt a ghost--lucky considering that my mom's house in Huntington is from the late 1800's I think. But I've always been very into urban legends (it was actually the topic of my senior thesis) and the 'Bloody Mary' one is the one that freaks me out the most. I've never had the b@lls to try it. Too afraid of what might happen I guess!!

neesie, seriously, maybe you have that sixth sense.. Like what John edward's and Jeffrey Wands has. People from the other side trying to communicate with you. It is something you have to develop over time but maybe you are just freightened right now to hone in on it.

i had something weird happen to me. I was at day camp and these girls were in the other room 'summoning spirits'. Well i wanted no part in that... but all of a sudden i feel a tightness in my forehead... like someone is pulling my skin back. I went to the bathroom and tried washing it away, but it would not go away. It was really freaky!!!
I love those ghost shows where the family stays in the house overnight... scary stuff!

I do as well. My MIL had an experience. I wish she could tell you all this story, because she is such a believer and I get such chills when she tells it.
In their old house in Queens Village when my husband, BIL and SIL were all very little there was a blackout in the middle of winter during a n'or easter storm. FIL was away on business. It was nighttime and really cold out, and when the power went out, the heat did as well. She put my husband and his brother to bed all bundled up in their cold room. She left them to check on the baby- and when she entered the nursery, it was very warm and there was a glow to the room, the glow of a nightlight almost. Then when she looked in the corner of the room, she saw a little girl on a tricycle, and when she looked away, she was gone. Turns out, it was the neighbors daughter who was unfortunately hit by a car a couple of years ago while on her tricycle.
The little girl was there pretecting the baby from the cold. The room stayed warm the entire night. MIL had the 2 boys sleep in there with the baby until the power came back on.
Oh my god you just gave me the chills! Yes i believe! i sometimes sence my grandmother around me.

I totally believe in ghost. I have never had any experiences of my own, but 3 people I never met before have told me I have someone watching over me (I lost my dad and all 4 grandparents within 4 years). In fact- after a massage I had on vacation last year in Napa, the masseuse came up to me and asked me if I lost a loved one recently. I told her I had a few years ago. She told me she felt a presence in the room while I was being massaged. And twice on the street, strangers have come up to me and said people are watching over me.

They have these web sites where you can actually HEAR recorded sounds of ghosts! Try listening to that alone at night! Makes my hair stand up!
