helen i just got a visual from my comment and now Imc racking myself up.. Im pathetic. Oh my god, what would he scream.. Actually you might get reported to the Pope.

But seriously thanks ladies. I like the rose petal idea and Stewart Manor provides these pretty candelabras decortated with flowers so I think im set.

I didn't think about decorating the seating card table until my florist suggested it. They are going to take care of decorating the table.

You absolutely do not have to--but it is a nice touch
Rose Petals look and smell great---Also a photo of you and your FH in a nice Frame in the Middle of the Table pulls it all together---The Mini Bride
Mannequins with a replica of your Gown is also very popular--Or just a Nice Floral Arrangement or Candleabra--
All a little effort and/or expense that make an
impact--but again--not a must--your call-----

We took our flowers with us. Our church is decorated by the florist every Saturday so they did not need my flowers. Rose petal and candles are usually a nice choice, I forgot all about that table, its now that I look at the pix, I remember which table I forgot....oh well

I cant imagine churches getting mad for taking YOUR flowers. I have seen many weddings where they took their church flowers, and put it beside the bride/groom tables. I see nothing wrong with that.

Ladies you are cracking me up!

we are actually thinking of taking old photos from our parents and grandparents weddings and putting them in matching frames on the place card table. not sure if that is going to look cheesy, i just thought it might be an inexpensive way of decorating along with a great conversation piece and memory (although most of the people in the pictures will be there - some have passed). Plus, I think my grandmother is going to get such a kick out of it and be so happy when she sees her picture!

We used the placecards provided for us by the Westbury Manor-and they looked fine. We put our parent's wedding picture along with a picture of us out on the table. The WM florist scattered some leaves and small gourds around it all.

BTW...we left our flowers at the church. Couldn't imagine being chased down Jericho Tpke by the priest!! LOL...

I didn't and I think it looked fine. The placecard table was outside (since people wait straight to the yard for cocktail hour) next to a table of glasses of champagne. A vase of flowers or rosepetals would be fine if you feel like you need to decorate.
