Do you think m&m and other popular candies look cheap at a wedding?

I want to name my tables popular candies (M&Ms, jordan almonds, swedish fish, etc) and then have those same candies in crystal bowls on the table for people to munch on. I thought it was a cute and unique idea and my FH likes it too. But my parents keep saying it looks cheap, they've never seen m&ms at a wedding before. Why does everything have to scream money? Can't I just have something cute that reflects my and FH's personality? ARRRRRRRRRRGH!

Do you girls think it is cheap looking?

We're doing M&M's too - Michelle and Michael. I think you should do - I would love to be sitting at a table w/a bowl of goodies!!!

i LOVE that picture dgtlsunshine! was that from your wedding at Coral House?? did you set that up separate or did they do it for you? we're gettingmarried at CH :)

Thats not my wedding. I wish I had that idea at the time. I am sure Coral House can set that up for you. Just provide them the items and they will put it out on the tables.

I had them do a few extra things and it was no problem at all. They just ask me to bring everything I think the Friday before the wedding.
