Do you think this is rude? Is anyone doing this?

My co-worker got an invite to her friend's wedding in June. On a separate card included with the invite, the bride has requested that no female guests can attend wearing black because the bridal party is wearing black. I mean c'mon...everyone wears the little black dress to a wedding. Now she is asking all her female guests to go out and buy a new dress on top of all the other money they are spending?

Am I crazy for thinking this is totally rude?

I don't know if I would say that it's rude but it's definitely ballsy... I have never heard of a bride & groom stating what color a guest can not wear. Does that mean since my girls are wearing navy that I should send every female guest a note sayin that they shouldn't wear navy?? That's just CRAZY!!

I dont really like green on a lot of people, i think it clashes with their skin tone...I am gonna tell my guests that if they try to wear green to my wedding, they will be escorted out!

I think it's rude. They buy you a gift and they attend...you should not tell them what to wear. NO WAY!

I wonder what will happen if someone actually wears a black dress? Because you know that someone will wear black...

Maybe I will make everyone send me a pic of what they are wearing to my wedding, if i dont like it, I will insist they go shopping for something that fits my approval....

seriously! and what are the odds that a guest will wear the same dress as a BM. unless they have 100 in their closet and decide this will be the PERFECT time to wear it again.

That is just totally nuts!! One word - BRIDEZILLA!

On a really funny note, I have on Working Girl. I can't even count the number of times I've seen this movie, and this is the FIRST time I noticed that when 'Tess McGill' crashes the wedding, she is wearing WHITE!!!
