Re: Do you think this is rude? Is anyone doing this?

I can't believe someone actually put this I an invite. It goes against every etiquette rule for invites.
This girl is obviously a bit obsessive to tell people not to wear black. She could have done it a different way, like said, we are having a blue or red theme- so wear your favorite to make the theme.
I'm surprised no one stopped her before she totally embarrassed herself.

I dont even know what to say about this and I ALWAYS have something to say!

I am still thinking of something to say.

I think the word bridezilla is an understatement! That is insane and an absolutely ludicrous request.

Re: Do you think this is rude? Is anyone doing this?

I dont think this is a strange request, I am asking my guest to not wear white, ivory, off white, any kind of blue or silver since these are my colors. And the men cant wear black suits because GM are wearing black tuxes.

Just kidding... this requests takes guts and is very Bridezilla. My family and friends would tear me up if I did this.

I would wear black anyway Then tell her either she gets an envelope, or I buy a new dress... I choose to give her an envelope. That will shut her mouth!

Re: Do you think this is rude? Is anyone doing this?

Chances are she won't even notice what others are wearing. I mean, that was the last thing from my mind on my wedding day.

We didn't do the matching tux route for the GM's. We only had 4 of them and 3 out of the 4 owned their one tuxes. I never even noticed that our best man was wearing a regular black suit!! I only noticed it two weeks ago when we watched our video.

Re: Do you think this is rude? Is anyone doing this?

my FSIL told us this, I don't think she put it on the invites. It was more of a superstition/bad luck thing though. I wore something else even though I would have worn a black dress otherwise.

I think it's rude. They buy you a gift and they attend...you should not tell them what to wear. NO WAY!

right!
