My co-worker is trying to convince me that I should have 'Monetary gifts preferred' printed on each invitation. I think it's tacky, I don't want to insult people. What do you think?

Plenty of people will take offense to that if they receive an invite with that printed on it.

LOL one of my cousins did that and she had a DW in FL. My mom didn't go. I couldn't go because of school and I thought it was very tacky.

I think more people are doing that but it doesnt sit right with the guest. for your wedding most people give money anyway.
