Does any VH compare to Russo's?

I went to Russo's last night for a bridal event and I was FLOORED!!! Their Viennese Hour was ridiculous and we loved it! BUT I wanted to know if anyone knew of any other amazing VH's that they have heard of or been too? My fiancee is dead set on having a VH and he wants a great one but the location of Russo's just didn't wow me. Thanks.

Inn at New Hyde Park from what I hear has a great VH!

I've been to a wedding at Russo's and it was awesome. I haven't been to a wedding at sand castle (and won't until mine) but I can't really think of anything from Russo's that wasn't on our VH menu for SC

El Caribe in Brooklyn

I love Russo's & look forward to any event we have there but I actually thought the food at El Caribe was better.

They brought the VH out on tables & left them in the dance floor - if you wanted a separate room, I'm sure this could be arranged as well. But they had everything imaginable - hot pretzels, cotton candy, popcorn, zeppoles, even breakfast stations lol

I love Russo's & look forward to any event we have there but I actually thought the food at El Caribe was better.

They brought the VH out on tables & left them in the dance floor - if you wanted a separate room, I'm sure this could be arranged as well. But they had everything imaginable - hot pretzels, cotton candy, popcorn, zeppoles, even breakfast stations lol

the E-party that we went to there even brought in MORE desserts on top of what they had there. its was crazy.

I love desserts! What kind of desserts did they have there? Gets me to thinking, I have to pick my desserts for my wedding too!! What kind did you like?

I think they went with the cheaper option b/c they just did Viennese tables but I was even floored by that lol

Not sure if this is good for you but my older son had his wedding at the Riviera in Brooklyn and it was fabulous, in fact, some people liked it better then Russo's. Also the El Caribe in Brooklyn does a great VH, but I happen to prefer either the Riviera Brooklyn or Russo's.

They have an incredible VH at Majestic Gardens....separate room and everything!!!! The entire room was filllllled with stations upon stations. Def research them too!

hey i really like Russo on the bay my cousin got married last it was a nice venue. But im get married at crest hollow country club it has a great lounge area and nice garden there. You should check it out...

Weddings at Russo's are unreal! I had mine there over the summer so maybe I'm slightly biased.

Seriously though, my photographer and videographer could not believe what we got at Russos and they shoot weddings all the time all over the island and city areas. A friend from work is in a wedding band and has played all over and he too said that he's never been to a wedding like mine. My FIL also used to play in a wedding band and he too said that he was floored with our wedding.

My friend had her wedding at the Rivera in Brooklyn...it was between there and Russo's and she chose Rivera. Her and her husband came up to us a few weeks after the wedding and said, 'We really wish we would have chosen Russo's instead.'

The VH is absolutely OUT OF CONTROL! We had a candy bar, candy apples, popcorn, cotton candy, a juice bar, fresh fruit (including figs which to an Italian family is unreal), pastries out the ying yang, cakes galore, a gelato station, bananas foster, hand rolled truffles, hand stuffed canolis, creme bruele, pancakes, waffles, omletes, crepes, zeppeles and more things that I think I'm forgetting.

At the end of the night, Russo's had a hot roasted nuts cart parked outside and was handing out bags of roasted nuts with water for people to take home.

The CH is out of control too...we got the hospitality hour where some people thought that was the CH, but then there was more food to come.

Since I'm the last of my friends to get married, I can honestly say that I've been to about 25 catering halls around the area and there hasn't been one yet that I've been to that has compared to Russos.....but again, that's only my opinion!!!

I sure hope so!! I know their food is amazing (we had a tasting) but I like dessert more, so I'm excited to see what the VH is all about

Definitely look at Sand Castle, we went to a wedding there in July and the entire thing was amazing, not to mention the VH was awesome. Even the presentation of it at the Sand Castle was a 'wow' moment. Definitely check it out if you have time!
