Does anybody's FH work nights?

Mine works for the LIRR and 3 nights a week he works till midnight. It's very lonely. Am I the only one?

My FI was New York State Trooper and used to work many nights 7 pm - 7 am and I hated it because I was lonely and because he was so grumpy from not sleeping, etc. I told him that when we got married I was definitely going to get a dog to keep me company, but recently he got promoted to an Investigator and his hours are so much better. Usually 8 am - 4 pm and every now and then getting called out in the middle of the night. He also only works one weekend a month now, so it is so much better. I definitely know how you girls feel.

i am in a different country than my FH and with major time differences. he might as well be working nites to me.

How often do you see him? What country will you be living in when you get married?

he is in australia. we will be living there for a few years, b/c he got a really great job at a great law firm. they have offices all over the world, including NY so before we can move here, he needs to be with the company for a few years. i last saw him 2 weeks ago when i was there. i was there for 10 month prior to when i left.

i wont see him again until my visa and immigration work gets processed and i can go back. it may be by march or it may be when the wedding is. i miss him heaps, but i knew it was going to be like this and we will have the rest of our lives 2gether. he couldnt fly here b/c he was just here in january 2005 and flights are so much money that we need to save. he is also pretty busy with his new job. it is ok i know i will see him soon, i just wish the time would fly.

Mine's in medical sales and has regular out of town business meetings. I used to be 'lonely', but now I try to use the time to do things for me and my own personal work related goals. Try to keep yourself busy and take up a hobby to pass the time. Going to the gym/exercising is the best - well for me, but find something you enjoy so much the time flys without you noticing.

Now my main concern is that he may get relocated if he gets this promotion he's going for... I mean the money would be very nice and the promo is something he really wants, but I can't move right away so we'd have to live apart until I know that he likes it. Too much at stake for me here to pick up and move and then he decides he hates living elsewhere. That's going to be hard, but hey, there are women who's men are in the military and they get through months without seeing DH's at all so I'm sure we'll figure it out.

Hey, my brother in law works for MTV networks too in Hauppauge. But he works 7am-7pm.

My FH works nights too, from about 12:30pm to 11pm. Fortunately we live together so when he gets home we cuddle up and watch some TV. But by then I'm pretty tired and wind up falling asleep, then when I leave for work in the morning he's still in bed. It's lonely sometimes but other nights it's nice to be on my own.

My fiance works 100 hours a week. I don't mind so much because we spend quality time together when he does have the time.

My FH works nights and weekends and goes to school in the morning.. so basically we hardly ever see each other. !

My FH worked crazy hours, sometimes late at nite, and very very early cause he has his own business. He still does but has cut down alot.
I just started here recently and its great. I can see where people would say it could doom a relationship cause we work and live together, but its been great, he is not in the office everyday, and he still works late hours sometimes, but we have more flexibility with taking off, we have no one to answer to...hes the boss! he actually comes from a long line of husband and wife teams, his grandparents worked together and were married, they were in business together and they are married 62 years this past september. His parents have their own business and have worked and been married for 26 years. I was definately nervous, but it seems to be working out great...and it runs in the blood!!! Its definately a blessing being able to spend so much time together!!
