Does anyone else feel like limos are a waste of $$?
Original post by Angel06
I suddenly feel like limos are a lot of money, we already left a deposit and i'm happy with the company i just feel like its a lot of money for transportation. We need our limos for 5 hours since church and reception times are far apart. I was wondering if anyone had any creative suggestions. We are only getting one suv limo 1150 plus service. I tried to do point to point but it wasn;t cheaper. I could care less about the limo is the FH. Thanks girls for listening.

For a big wedding party no. For small- yes... A town car is much cheaper...
I agree
I third that it is what we will be using for our small WP

has anyone used car service or a shuttle van of some sorts? all i want it to do is pick us up from hotel, drop us at the hall, and then get another hour for the end of the night to get us back to the hotel

I've been thinking about cutting them out recently. My uncle has an antique car my FH and I could use & everyone else can drive themselves. I just feel like putting that money towards the photog. makes more sense.

We might be able to work something out with FH's Uncle, otherwise I'm not looking forward to it. I'm debating having the same limo drop the guys off at the church like over an hour early haha...then coming a half hour east to pick us up, to go back to the church...stupid?

I don't have a large wedding party. So we're renting two Large Black Suv's from Enterprise instead.

Yes...we only got one because it was included in our package at the RH. We only used it for pictures and to the RH. For going home, we went home with our parents, who drove and significant others of bridal party members drove, etc.
ETA: DH and I live and took pictures 5 minutes from RH.

Our RH is far from our church (45min- an hour) so we need one! I just hate the details of making sure there are cars left at the RH so everyone can get home! I wish they included a return rate! It seems silly to me, we'll drop you off, but figure out your own way to get home! For what they charge it should be round trip!

i would say skip the limo if it's a separate cost. our limo was included in our package from Wedding Box so we took it but honestly, we only used the limo once and then it just sat there for the afternoon. it was a waste for us

i heard if you get black limos its a lot cheaper but it looks like you're going to a funeral not a wedding but definitely something to think about

we did and didnt get any. We all drove our cars in and we took pictures are the RH so it was easy plus after the day is over our BP had to drive home.
So we didnt have a limo.

Not stupid at all. That's exactly what I'm doing. My friends have NO concept of time and need to be rounded up!
