Dog as Ring Bearer
My fiance is kind of useless with the 'whatever you want' or 'don't worry about it' responses, so I thought I'd put the question out there to the bridalsphere...Our dog is going to be the ring bearer at the wedding. He's a border collie, so super smart but high energy. I'm training him to run down the aisle carrying the pillow in his mouth and handing it to us. I know typically the ring bearer goes down the aisle before the bride, but I want to see him run to us so he's going to come after me. We'll have a leash waiting up front to hook him back up after the pillow is delivered and one of the groomsmen will hold onto him and try to keep him in a sit/stay for the ceremony. But my question is... what do we do with the pillow? Normally the ring bearer would continue to hold it, but I can't expect my pup to keep it in his mouth for 20 minutes. And as good as he is, I don't trust that he won't try to make a toy out of it if it's lying on the floor next to him. What do you girls think?

Maybe you can skip the pillow all together and just somehow clip or tie them to his collar securely? Id say tie a tiny pillow for the effect but no matter how small it may bug him during the ceremony. Hth!

I LOVE this idea! I would totally incorporate my dog into the wedding if I had one. I can't exactly trust my cat to do a job

I am thinking of doing this too! Just have one of the hushers hold the pillow. They have nothing else to hold and I am sure they will be looking at the pup & you and not who is holding it.

That is awesome! I wish I could have my cats in my ceremony haha. I would just have one of the groomsmen take the pillow and set it aside some where or if there is going to be a table near the alter just set it down there.Welcome New Vendors
