Donating as a favor

We made our donation and then just placed cards on the tables telling our guests that a donation was made in leiu of favors.

I know that a donation is 'whatever you want' but how much pp is reasonable?

We put a card at each place setting. You can donate as much as you feel comfortable donating. I donated what I would have spent on a favor for each person. Here's the card we used:

At my friends' wedding they had two different charities so they made two boards, then everyone got a pin with a flag on them and you could chose which charity you wanted to donate to. It was cute.

Another friend just put cards by each place setting saying 'A donation has been made to...'

my friend did a donation and she put a card in an envelope on everyone's plate in place of a favor which said that they had made a donation to a charity in lieu of wedding favors. she made a hold punch on the upper right corner of the card and attached a little charm to it which made it really cute.

We did a donation to St Jude's. They'll send you a card, a scroll, or a bookmark - your choice!
I opted for the scroll, got ribbon from my florist, and he taught me how to tie them in a lasso, here's a pic of each place setting, the favor scroll is tied inside the ribbon:

Another suggestion is to get nice picture frames and place them on the table to be passed around or read.

I was thinking of the picture frame idea myself! It's very clean and neat looking! This may be a silly question but what is a table tent?
